Genesis 32 : Jacob Wrestles with God

22And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok. 23And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had.

24And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26And he said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go, except you bless me. 27And he said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob. 28And he said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince have you power with God and with men, and have prevailed. 29And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray you, your name. And he said, Why is it that you do ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. 31And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he halted on his thigh. 32Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is on the hollow of the thigh, to this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh in the sinew that shrank.

Jacob renamed to “Israel”

Genesis 33 : Jacob Settles in Shechem

18And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city. 19And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money. 20And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.

SHECHEM where Joseph was feeding the flock,

is located 17 miles WEST of the JORDAN (now called Nablos)

SHECHEM is the 1st place the Lord appeared to ABRAM after calling him out of Babylon in Genesis 12.

Genesis 12 : The Calling of Abram

1Now the LORD had said to Abram, Get you out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you:  2And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing:  3And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. 5And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. 6And Abram passed through the land to the place of Sichem, to the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. 7And the LORD appeared to Abram, and said, To your seed will I give this land: and there built he an altar to the LORD, who appeared to him. 8And he removed from there to a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he built an altar to the LORD, and called on the name of the LORD. 9And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

SHECHEM was where Joshua (from the Ephraim) , who led Israel into the Promised Land, made a covenant with the people after crossing the Jordan.  

Joshua 24 : Choose Whom You will Serve

23Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the LORD God of Israel. 24And the people said to Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey. 25So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem. 26And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD. 27And Joshua said to all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness to us; for it has heard all the words of the LORD which he spoke to us: it shall be therefore a witness to you, lest you deny your God. 28So Joshua let the people depart, every man to his inheritance.

Joshua’s Death and Burial

29And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old. 30And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathserah, which is in mount Ephraim, on the north side of the hill of Gaash.

31And Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, and which had known all the works of the LORD, that he had done for Israel.

32And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph. 33And Eleazar the son of Aaron died; and they buried him in a hill that pertained to Phinehas his son, which was given him in mount Ephraim.

SHECHEM was were JOSEPH and JOSHUA were buried.

Joseph lived  17   years outside of Egypt

Jacob lived   17   years inside of Egypt before passing away

Machpelah,  which means = “double” or “portion”,

where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were buried

Genesis 6 : The Wickedness of Man

Noah’s Favor with God

8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. 10And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.  11The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12And God looked on the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way on the earth.

Noah Builds the Ark

13And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14Make you an ark of gopher wood; rooms shall you make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch. 15And this is the fashion which you shall make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 16A window shall you make to the ark, and in a cubit shall you finish it above; and the door of the ark shall you set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shall you make it. 17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters on the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. 18But with you will I establish my covenant; and you shall come into the ark, you, and your sons, and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. 19And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shall you bring into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come to you, to keep them alive. 21And take you to you of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to you; and it shall be for food for you, and for them. 22Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Genesis 9 : The Covenant of the Rainbow

11And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. 12And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look on it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.  17 And God said to Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.

Shem, Ham, and Japheth,the3sons of Noah,produced 70 sons and grandsons listed in the bible after the flood.

Genesis 10 

32These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations:  and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

These 70 became the 70 nations (Table of Nations) that came together as 1 to build the Tower of Babel

Genesis 11 : The Tower of Babel

1And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelled there. 3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.

4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach to heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the face of the whole earth. 5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. 8So the LORD scattered them abroad from there on the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from there did the LORD scatter them abroad on the face of all the earth.

Peleg was the 4th born of shem after the flood,  17th from Adam

Understanding this

This is where every world religion comes from.  

There are all different flavors of the same thing that was established after the flood.

Abram, at age 75, was then called by God, out of the 70 nations that had gathered at Babel to created his own nation.

Just like we had to keep starting over in the Escape Game because we could not keep a straight line.  We were turning to the right and left.  Until we used the board to keep us aligned, we had no hope of escaping.  

 DEUTERONOMY 28 : BLESSINGS OF OBEDIENCE

14And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you this day,to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

These were the words of Moses to the Israelite’s during the Exodus from Egypt and their journey to the Promised Land.  

 The Promised Land for us now is theRestoration of Eden with us and Eternal Life.

Hosea 4 : God’s Charges against Israel

6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

When the Apostles preached, they always began with explaining what took place at the beginning all the way to their present time.

Without a solid foundation and understanding of the beginning and the Law given to Moses by God, nothing will make sense. 

1 Corinthians 3 : CHRIST THE ONLY FOUNDATION

10According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon. 11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build on this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14If any man’s work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

MATTHEW 5 : JESUS FULFILLS THE LAW

 Everything in the bible is based of the law that God thundered down onto Mt. Sinai to Moses.  Everything after that is based on how His people either obedient with that law or disobedient and the consequences that resulted.  Precept upon precept.  Is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than one jot or tittle of the law to fail as you will see.

From the lips of the wisest man who God ever created

The dropping of the ball and having to keep starting over until a guide was used, was His way of showing me that everything in the bible is built off the Law He handed down to Moses.  When I was reading the bible I started to realize I was constantly going back to the beginning to understand the meaning of what I was reading.  The Law at the beginning of the bible.  

People try and interpret Revelation with very limited understanding of the rest of the bible.

The Book of Revelation is sign post that should scream out to you go back to the beginning.

The spiritual house that Jesus built with Peter, was built on the foundation of the Stone Tablets given to Moses.  The Law of God.  Everything Jesus did was in accordance with fulfilling God’s Law.  Everything written in the bible builds off the foundation of God’s Law.  When you don’t know God’s Law, you can easily misinterpret the rest of the passages in the bible.   When Jesus was young, what did He do?  He went to the temple and they were blown away by His knowledge of the Law.  He knew it, inside and out.  His foundation was immovable.

It was His way of showing me how He works.  It showed me that when I focus and think on His word, He will show the story He is weaving in your life.  Seek and you shall find.  Knock and it shall be open.

Ecclesiastes 9 

9The thing that has been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  10Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it has been already of old time, which was before us.

 God wants to know He did everything for a specific reason.  He wants us to know that what to expect by what has happened before.

The Story has already been written.  The table is already set and He is inviting anyone and everyone.  We should always be living in constant preparation, but how much more so as we see the day approaching!  I know it is a lot of information, but I challenge you to read it.    I pray you will read with an open mind and verify everything I have written.   Test it to see if it lines up with scripture.  Pray and ask Him if these things are true.

There is simplicity in the Gospel.  You don’t have to be a self professed prophecy expert. You don’t have to have an ivy league education.  You don’t have to be a scientist, a mathematician, or an astronomer to understand God’s redemptive plan.  

What I believe has created more confusion among Christians is technology, science, and numbers.  The Bible is the WORD and we live in a world today run by numbers and technology.   We have been left exhausted trying to understand how all of this fits together.

MATTHEW 10:16

 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.  

The serpent thinks in numbers and images.

to end all this nonsense of science,

1And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2Sanctify to me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.  3And Moses said to the people, Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten. 4This day came you out in the month Abib. 5And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month. 6Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD. 7Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with you, neither shall there be leaven seen with you in all your quarters. 8And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did to me when I came forth out of Egypt.9And it shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD’s law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt. 10You shall therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

Set Apart First Born

11And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore to you and to your fathers, and shall give it you, 12That you shall set apart to the LORD all that opens the matrix, and every firstling that comes of a beast which you have; the males shall be the LORD’s. 13And every firstling of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among your children shall you redeem.14And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? that you shall say to him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage: 15And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that opens the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem. 16And it shall be for a token on your hand, and for frontlets between your eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.

The Pillars of Cloud and Fire

17And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: 18But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

19And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him:  for he had straightly sworn the children of Israel, saying,  God will surely visit you; and you shall carry  up my bones away hence with you.

20And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. 21And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: 22He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.
