The star wars theme is extremely troubling to me and wrong on so many levels.
I read the lesson plan for week one yesterday.
The whole stars wars theme is built around Hebrews 11:1 yet the whole theme of Stars Wars is a complete contradiction to this verse.
Hebrews 11 : Faith is Being Sure
1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
6But without faith it is impossible to please him:
for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
It is the blind leading the blind.
The first weeks lesson is about Romans and talking about sin and salvation yet there is no mention of the Law and judgement, which the 2 hinge on.
They obviously don’t realize what sin is.
They are literally promoting Azazel, the scapegoat, who was ascribed all sin, and Idolatry.
Star Wars is nothing more than sorcery and witch-craft.
The preacher of the church is literally standing there in a sorcerer’s robe.
I am just beyond confounded and confused how bad this is.
If you are preaching on Hebrews 11:1 and Romans, you should be preaching about how blasphemous Star Wars and Hollywood is.
The lesson plan itself is not bad but it is in vain if leaders leading it, don’t recognize that Star Wars is the epitome of what God hates and epitomizes what Sin is.
