the threshingfloor

This was a picture taken of my grandfather passing out  Gideon Bibles at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).    As you read this, you will understand why this picture of my grandfather has become so significant to me.

As I have worked on this site, I have fought and wrestled with God.  I have been frustrated and exhausted and overwhelmed. This picture has served as a reminder to me of why I am here and what He has called me to do.

I look at my grandfather,  “The Tired Gideon”, fighting the good fight.

The Gideon International headquarters happen to be located in Nashville, Tn, where I currently live.  The Gideons’ primary activity is distributing copies of the Bible free of charge.

The organization describes its link to the story of Gideon:

Gideon was a man who was willing to do exactly what God wanted him to do, regardless of his own judgment as to the plans or results. Humility, faith, and obedience were his great elements of character. This is the standard that The Gideons International is trying to establish in all its members, each man to be ready to do God’s will at any time, at any place, and in any way that the Holy Spirit leads.

I have never felt called by God to do anything.  God gave all of us gifts as part of being in the body of Christ.  I wasn’t sure what mine was.    Recently, however, I have had an enormous sense of urgency that He placed in my heart.   I created this website called the “Narrow Gate Entrance” in the beginning of December of 2015 which I derived from Luke 13.

LUKE 13 : THE NARROW GATE (Matthew 7:13-14)

22And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. 23Then said one to him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said to them, 24Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

When I started this site, I wasn’t quite sure what it meant,  but I knew I needed to make sure that’s the gate my life was heading towards.  There were so many verses that were in direct conflict with the way I was living my life.  I was desperate to know the truth and His Story.  The things unfolding in the world seem like they are straight out of Revelation.    I felt overwhelmed with how to process what I was seeing and how it relates to my faith.

I felt like the walls were closing in and I wondered how He could use me.    I sit behind a desk all day without much interaction with people.   I was doing everything I could just to keep up, but things seem to be moving so fast.

I was having more and more trouble discerning what was even right from wrong anymore.

The lines were starting to get blurry.

5 months later in April, I gave my friend a bible at a bible study we were having at my house every week.

I had not mentioned to him or anyone about my website.

After just a few days of reading,

this is the text he sent me:

A month later, in May, our company took us for a team building exercise to play the Escape Game.

It’s a game where a group will go into a room and you have an hour to gather all the clues to unlock the door and break out.  I was dreading going cause I hate these types of things and I was really tired but something told me I needed to go.

That day happened to be one of the peak days of my overwhelm and frustration.   On my way there I actually pulled off the side of the road and just started crying.  I was crying out to Him a conversation that went like this:

“Is this really what you want me to be doing? Why me?  I am not equipped to do this.”

The more I saw  happening around me the heavier my heart got.   My brain felt like it was going to explode with all the research I was doing.  I really just wanted some type of confirmation or sign from Him.  I felt like God was removing the scales from eyes for a purpose but I really wasn’t sure where it was going to lead.  I finally drug myself to the game.

They have 5 different rooms.  A different game in each room.   The first thing I noticed in our room was a book called Music City Babylon.  The majority of the research I had been doing at the time was trying to figure out what the heck Babylon was.   Our room also had a clue containing a bible verse.

LUKE 13 29And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

I was not much help during the game.   I was standing there looking at all the interesting stuff in the rooms.  As time was running out,  there was a map hanging encased in a box with a silver ball at the bottom of the casing.

The clue said “the shortest distance is a straight line“.

So we were supposed to use the magnet to drag the ball, which was behind the map, and drag it across to each of the four different cities on the map.   If ball behind the map wasn’t guided in a straight line, it would drop and you would have to start all the way over.

They started trying to drag it but it kept dropping because they couldn’t keep a straight line.  Time was running out, our team was frantically trying to figure out what to do.   I was honestly just ready to go home, but I happened to see a wooden board on the floor and put it up there for them to use as a ruler to guide him into keeping a straight line from point to point on the map.  It worked and the door opened.    We were the only team that actually “Escaped” in time.

I didn’t think much of this until the next morning when I looked at that verse again that we had in our room and the verses right above it.

25When once the master of the house is risen up, and has shut to the door, and you begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not from where you are: 26Then shall you begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets. 27But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not from where you are; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity. 28There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. 29And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God30And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

When I realized this the next morning, I started crying because I realized that it was His confirmation of what he had called me to do from the previous day when I pulled over in my car.   I had used a wooden board to keep the path straight and level so we could open the door and escape during a time of panic and confusion.

Luke 21 :  Be Watchful

34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come on you unawares. 35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch you therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 37And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and stayed in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. 38And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

I created this site in order to try to have a place to gather the things I was seeing going on in the world and to have a place to sift and sort them in relation to what I was learning in the bible.

To separate LIES from the TRUTH.

I didn’t realize it at the time,  because I didn’t understand what a threshing floor was, but I was gathering (gleaning) and threshing wheat just like Gideon when He was called by God.

Judges 6 :  The Call of Gideon

11And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained to Joash the Abiezrite: and his son  Gideon threshed wheat by the wine press, to hide it from the Midianites.

I also didn’t realize at the time that the headquarters for both Gideon International and The Southern Baptist Convention happen to be in Nashville.

Luke 3 : The Mission of John the Baptist (Isaiah 40:1-5Matthew 3:1-12Mark 1:1-8John 1:19-28

2Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. 3And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; 4As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare you the way of the Lord, make his paths straight[g2117].

5Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight,

and the rough ways shall be made smooth;

straight

[g2117]
euthýs

 i.e. (literally) level, or (figuratively) true;

  • Making paths straight or level is analogy for “Justification” and being “Righteous” in God’s sight.
  • “Justification” is builders term for whether a stone is true or not by using a plumline to make sure it was upright

  • Our Justification is not based off our own works but by the work done of the cross for us.
  • We are justified, true stones, through faith and obedience by keeping his word and commandments.

Revelation 3 : Message to the Church in Philadelphia

7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things said he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens; 8I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name.

ISAIAH 22 : THE VALLEY OF VISION

22And THE KEY OF THE HOUSE OF DAVID  will I lay on hisshoulder[H7926]; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut; and, and none shall open.

THE KEY OF DAVID

is reference to those

 “who keep his commandments”

and the SHOULDER

SHOULDER

[h7926]
שְׁכֶם shek-em

“the neck (between the shoulders) as the place of burdens;

figuratively, the spur of a hill. ridge;.

  • שְׁכֶם shek-em the hebrew word for “shoulder” is also the name of a city in Canaan.
  • SHECHEM was the 1st place God appeared to Abraham,  after being called out of Babylon
  • SHECHEM was where the 1st altar built to God by Abraham was
  • SHECHEM was where God renamed Jacob to “Israel”
  • SHECHEM was an inheritance for the son’s of Joseph.
  • SHECHEM was where Joseph and Joshua were buried
  • SHECHEM was where Joshua (“from Tribe of Ephraim”) made a covenant with Israel that they would put away strange gods and wrote Moses Law and took a great stone and set it here under this oak

The ARK OF THE COVENANT

1 SAMUEL 17 : DAVID SLAYS GOLIATH

43And the Philistine said to David, Am I a dog, that youCOME TO ME WITH STAVES? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. 44And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field

  • David fought Goliath in “The Valley of The Oak”
  • Jacob buried the strange gods that were with him here under the “Oak at Shechem”
  • There was an angel sitting under an oak while Gideon was threshing wheat by the winepress.
I live 2 miles from Vanderbilt whose symbol is the Leaf and acorn.   The new visual identity, designed by Malcolm Grear Designers in Providence, R.I., is built around a central image of the letter “V” encompassing a stylized oak leaf and acorn.

“The oak leaf and acorn have long been symbols of Vanderbilt and are found in the crest of the Vanderbilt family,” said Judy Orr, director of Creative Services. “We thought it important to have a sense of timelessness and tradition in our final product, which I believe we accomplished.”

Oak Hill is a city in Davidson County, Tennessee, 3 Miles from house.  The Tennessee Governor’s Mansion, also known as the Tennessee Residence, in Oak Hill, Nashville, Tennessee, is the official residence of the Governor of Tennessee and his or her family.

The leaves and acorns (the fruit) of the oak tree are poisonous to cattle, horses, sheep, and goats in large amounts due to the toxin tannic acid, and cause kidney damage and gastroenteritis.

Symptoms of poisoning include  lack of appetite, depression, constipation, diarrhea (which may contain blood), blood in urine, and colic.

LUKE 3 : THE MISSION OF JOHN THE BAPTIST (Isaiah 40:1-5Matthew 3:1-12Mark 1:1-8John 1:19-28)

7Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8BRING FORTH THEREFORE FRUITS WORTHY OF REPENTANCE, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say to you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham. 9And now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: every tree therefore which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

  • My Grandfather’s middle name happened to be “Huey”, which I always thought was a funny name.
  • I then found out that Gideon’s name happens to mean “Hewer”.
gideon

[h1439]
גִּדְעוֹן Gidʻôwn
(occurs )

“hewer”;  feller; (i.e. warrior);

from the primitive root;       [h1438] גָּדַע gâdaʻ

generally, to destroy anything:

—cut (asunder, in sunder, down, off), hew down.

The day I played the game Escape Game was the height of my overwhelm and I had pulled over on the side of the road and asked God if this is really what He has called me to do.  Gideon asked for confirmation twice from God by laying a fleece of wool on the threshing floor.

Judges 6 :  The Signs of the Fleece

36And Gideon said to God, If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said, 37Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the threshingfloor[h1637]; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry on all the earth beside, then shall I know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said.

Threshing-floor

[h1637]
גֹּרֶן gôren

from an unused root meaning to smooth;

a threshing-floor (as made even);

by analogy, any open area:

—(barn, corn, threshing-) floor, (threshing-, void) place.

After David became King and he slew all the Philistine Giants in the land, He bought the threshing floor on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem from Ornan the Jebusite for 600 shekels of gold and his oxen for 50 shekels of silver.

Mount Moriah was in Jerusalem where Abraham had offered up Isaac as a sacrifice.   He built an altar and sacrificed to God there to keep the plague stayed from Israel.

After David died, his son Solomon built the Temple on the threshing floor that his father David had bought.

9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come on all the world, to try them that dwell on the earth. 11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown.12Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write on him my new name. 13He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches.

  • A circular threshing floor was where sheaves of harvested wheat were taken and spread across the floor.
  • Pairs of Oxen would drag a threshing board behind them to tear the stalks from the ears of grain.

At the time of the harvest, when his crop is fully ripe, the farmer cuts down (hew’s) his crop that he has sown in the field. Harvesting wheat was typically  done through use of a sickle or scythe.

Harvest

[h7105]
קָצִיר qâtsîyr
(occurs 54 in 49)

severed i.e. harvest (as reaped), the crop;

figuratively; also a limb (of a tree, or simply foliage):

—bough, branch, harvest (man).

The farmer would then gather (glean) and bundle the stalks of wheat together in what is called a sheaf or Sheaves (multiple).

The bundled wheat is then taken  to the circular threshing floor where the sheaves of grain would be  spread across  the threshing floor.

The sheaves would then be threshed (smooth : break apart : loosen : Tread).

Pairs of Oxen

would be walked round and round

dragging a heavy threshing-board

behind them.

Threshing-boards

had stones or flint chips or iron spikes

inserted into the bottom side.   These teeth speed up the threshing process helping to:

cut and crush up the wheat, tear away the ears of grain from the stalks, & loosen the  grain and chaff/husk

Stalks

(are torn from)

Ears of Grain

“He who has an ear, let him hear”

The wheat would then be  winnowed with a winnowing fork where the loosened grain is separated from the chaff (which is the outer protective coating of the grain) in preparation for storage and use.

Threshing floors were built in high parts of the city to utilize the wind to accomplish this separation.

The grain could then be  further cleansed by sieving

(A sieve, or sifter, is a device for separating wanted elements from unwanted material)

Winnowed : Fanned : separated

Sieved

Light chaff & short torn straw

would be blown away by the wind

and fall some distance away;

the heavier grain

would fall at the winnower’s feet,

then finally taken into the farmers barn.

LUKE 3 : THE MISSION OF JOHN THE BAPTIST

15And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; 16John answered, saying to them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I comes, the lace of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:  17Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, (threshing-floor),  and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

  • “Threshing” and the “threshing floor” is an analogy for “Sanctification”, meaning “to cleanse” and “make separate”.
  • Sanctification is how we are to be clothed with white, linen garments, (be smooth),  as opposed to scarlet, rough wool garments.
  • To be made Holy
  • To separate from those who are Unrighteous
Sanctify

[h6942]
קָדַשׁ qâdash
(occurs 172x in 153v)

to consecrate, sanctify, prepare, dedicate, be hallowed, be holy, be sanctified, be separate

a primitive root; to be (causatively, make, pronounce or observe as) clean (ceremonially or morally):

  • God separated and sanctified the the Sabbath Day for rest
    • My grandfather was representing the Senatobia, MS camp Gideon church.
    • The name “Senatobia” was derived from the Indian word Senatohoba,
    • Senatohoba, happens to mean “White Sycamore”—a symbol of “rest for the weary.”
  • When we begin to understand the completeness of our Justification (righteous in God’s eyes), we can rest and rejoice in the ongoing tribulation, discipline, chastening (correction), and refinement of our “Sanctification” (process of being made Holy).
  • Just as following the Law does not make you justified,  but is an expression of the fact that you have been reconciled to Him.

Jeremiah 51 : The Harvest of Babylon

33For thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor[h1637], it is time to thresh [h1758]her:yet a little while, and the time of her harvest[h7105] shall come.

Threshing floors were built in high parts of the city

to utilize the wind to accomplish the separation of the chaff and fruit.

Revelation 18 : Babylon is Fallen

4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying,

Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.

5For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double to her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled fill to her double.

JOEL 3 : THE LORD JUDGES THE NATIONS

13Put you in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. 14Multitudes, multitudes in The Valley of Decision[h2742], for the Day of the Lord is near in the Valley of Decision

When you make a “Decision” to follow Christ, you cutting off and separating from sin and your old ways.

Decision

[h2742]

a threshing-sledge (having sharp teeth);

(figuratively) determination; also eager:

—decision, diligent, (fine) gold, pointed things, sharp, threshing instrument, wall.

Matthew 25 :  The Sheep and the Goats

31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory: 32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: 33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

My other grandfather, on my mom’s side of the family, loved pecans. He would go and gather pecans that fallen from trees and would spend hours cracking them, packaging them, and giving them to his friends.

“Pecan” is from an Algonquian word variously referring to pecans, walnuts and hickory nuts,[3] or more broadly to any nut requiring a stone to crack.  A pecan,  is not truly a nut, but is technically a drupe, a fruit with a single stone or pit, surrounded by a husk.

MATTHEW 13 : The Parable of the Net (Matthew 4:18-22Mark 1:16-20Luke 5:1-11John 1:35-42)

47Again, the kingdom of heaven is like to a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:48Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.49So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,50And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 51Jesus said to them, Have you understood all these things? They say to him, Yes, Lord. 52Then said he to them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed to the kingdom of heaven is like to a man that is an householder, which brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Psalms 1 : The Two Paths

1Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

2But his delight is in the law of the LORD

and in his law does he meditate day and night.

3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,

that brings forth his fruit in his season;

his leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

4The ungodly are not so:

but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,

nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

but the way of the ungodly shall perish

EXODUS 32 : THE GOLDEN CALF

25And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked to their shame among their enemies:)   26Then

Moses stood in the GATE OF THE CAMP,

and said, WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE?

let him come to me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him. 27And he said to them, Thus said the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor. 28And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. 29For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, even every man on his son, and on his brother; that he may bestow on you a blessing this day.

Luke 13 :  A Call to Repentance (Joel 1:13-20Amos 5:4-15Zephaniah 2:1-3)

1There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2And Jesus answering said to them, Suppose you that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3I tell you, No: but, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. 4Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think you that they were sinners above all men that dwelled in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, No: but, except you repent, you shall all likewise perish.

The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree  (Isaiah 5:1-7)

6He spoke also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none7Then said he to the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why encumbers it the ground? 8And he answering said to him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: 9And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that you shall cut it down.

Matthew 25 : Parable of Talents

26His lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed: 27You ought therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received my own with usury. 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him which has ten talents. 29For to every one that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has. 30And cast you the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

A farmer sows or plants seed

                to produce fruit

Fruit is :

  •  anything produced or accruing;  product, result, or effect;
  • profit or return (on investment)

James 5 :  Patience in Suffering

7Be patient therefore, brothers, to the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Mark 4 : The Seed Growing Secretly

26And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground27And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how. 28For the earth brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

Matthew 13 :THE PARABLE OF THE WHEAT AND TARES

24Another parable put he forth to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened to a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.26But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27So the servants of the householder came and said to him, Sir, did not you sow good seed in your field? from where then has it tares? 28He said to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Will you then that we go and gather them up? 29But he said,  No; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them.

30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers,

Gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them:

but gather the wheat into my barn.

THE PARABLE OF THE WEEDS EXPLAINED

36Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came to him, saying, Declare to us the parable of the tares of the field. 37He answered and said to them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man;

38The field is the world;

the good seed are the children of the kingdom;

the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39The enemy that sowed them is the devil;

the harvest is the end of the world;

and the reapers are the angels.

40As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be at the end of this world41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.

TARE

WHEAT

  •  A tare (or darnel) is a plant that commonly grows in fields of grain.
  •  Although it looks similar to an edible grain,  it isn’t suitable for food because it is a poisonous weed.

MATTHEW 13 : THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER (Mark 4:1-9Luke 8:4-15)

1The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. 2And great multitudes were gathered together to him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.   3And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;  And when he sowed,

some seeds fell by the way side,

and the fowls came and devoured them up:

This is he which received seed by the way side:

When any one hears the word of the kingdom,
and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. (Luke: lest they should believe and be saved. )

some fell on stony places,

where they had not much earth:  and immediately they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:   and when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

he that received the seed into stony places,

the same is he that hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it; yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a while:   for when tribulation or persecution rises because of the word,  by and by he is offended.

(Luke: in time of temptation fall away. )

and some fell among thorns;

and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

He that received seed among the thorns

is he that hears the word; and the care of this world,  and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word,  and he becomes unfruitful.

(Luke: bring no fruit to perfection.

but other fell into good ground,

and brought forth fruit, some an hundred times, some sixty times, some thirty times.

he that received seed into the good ground

is he that hears the word, and understands it;  which also bears fruit, and brings forth,  some an hundred times, some sixty, some thirty.

(Luke : which in an honest and good heart,  having heard the word, keep it,   and bring forth fruit with patience.)

The Purpose of Jesus’ Parables (Mark 4:10-12)

10And the disciples came, and said to him, Why speak you to them in parables? 11He answered and said to them, Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.12For whoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has. 13Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Mark 4 : parable of sower explained

13And he said to them, Know you not this parable?

and how then will you know all parables?  14The sower sows the word.

The Sower Sows The Seed

   which is The Word

A seed

is the flowering plant’s unit of reproduction,

capable of developing into another such plant

   Fertile soil contains

Seed Germination

THE RADICLE

The first thing that emerges from the seed during germination.   It is the embryonic root that grows downward into the soil.    It allows the seed to suck up the water and send out leaves so it can start photosynthesizing  which is the process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy that can later be released to fuel the organisms activities.

The Root

The part of a plant, generally underground,

that anchors and supports the plant body, absorbs and stores water and nutrients,

and in some plants is able to perform vegetative reproduction.

It is the part of a plant that attaches it to the ground

or to a support, typically underground, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant

via numerous branches and fibers.

Jesus

the Root of David & JEsse

A root is the basic cause, source, or origin of something. The Foundation.

The STEM

A stem consists of 2 parts:

Hypocotyl :

The part of the stem that grows below the cotyledon and into the roots. The basis of the plant stem. The part of the stem of an embryo plant beneath the stalks of the seed leaves and directly above the root.

Epicotyl :

The part of the stem that develops above the cotyledon into stem and leaves.

These grow upward in response to light

Hypocotyl :

  • There are 3 things  that a plant requires for growth and for the ability to bear fruit.

Light

John 8 :  Jesus the Light of the World

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

water

John 7 :  jesus the Living Water

37In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink. 38He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39(But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

food

John 6 :  Jesus the Bread of Life

35And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst. 36But I said to you, That you also have seen me, and believe not.

WHAT GOD REQUIRES FROM US?

1) TO FEAR HIM

Which leads to

learning and observing to…

2) KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS

Which is how we Love

and Worship God,

so that we can then…

3)  Love others

Which is how we abide in His Love

and bring forth the fruits of the spirit

(worthy of repentance)

We were created to glorify God by bearing much fruit.

2 Peter 1 :  Make Your Calling Sure

3According as his divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue: 4Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10Why the rather, brothers, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall: 11For so an entrance shall be ministered to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Matthew 26 : Jesus Prays at Gethsemane

40And he comes to the disciples, and finds them asleep, and said to Peter, What, could you not watch with me one hour? 41Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Galatians 5 :  Living by the Spirit (Romans 8:9-11)

16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,

and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit,

and the Spirit against the flesh:

and these are contrary the one to the other:

so that you cannot do the things that you would.

18But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19Now THE WORKS OF THE FLESH are:

  • Adultery,
  • fornication,
  • uncleanness,
  • lasciviousness,
  • 20Idolatry,
  • witchcraft,
  • hatred,
  • variance,
  • jealousies,
  • wrath,
  • strife,
  • seditions,
  • heresies,
  • 21Contentions,
  • murders,
  • drunkenness,
  • revelings, and such like:

of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT is:

  • love,
  • joy,
  • peace,
  • long-suffering,
  • gentleness,
  • goodness,
  • faith,
  • 23Meekness,
  • temperance:

against such there is no law.

24And they that are Christ’s have

crucified the flesh

with the affections and lusts.

25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26Let us not be desirous of vain glory,

provoking one another, envying one another.

  • The threshing-floor is used as analogy for distinguishing what comes from
    • the holy spirit vs what comes from the flesh.
  • Our physical bodies are the outer shell/chaff for the Holy Spirit to produce the fruit within.
  • If we don’t allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives then we are just empty useless vessels to Him that will be thrown away, because in our flesh dwells no good thing.
  • Just as Circumcision was also used to remove the reproach of the flesh.
  • Circumcision was required by all males as part of God’s Covenant with Israel, which was first established with Abraham.
  • Joshua used a sword/knife to circumcise all those who were born in the wilderness at hill of foreskins in Gilgal (Circle) before reaching the Promised Land.

The works of the flesh

The work of the holy spirit

1 CORINTHIANS 7 :  LIVE ACCORDING TO YOUR CALLING

18Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.  19Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

Romans 8: No Condemnation in Christ

1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Control by the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26)

9But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.

Heirs with Christ (Genesis 21:1-8Galatians 4:1-7)

12Therefore, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Future Glory (2 Corinthians 5:1-10)

18For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope, 21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. 23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for? 25But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

  •  We are new creatures in Him.
  •  Our old man (Adam) is dead and buried with Him in Baptism.
  •  We and raised to newness of life in Him.

Romans 6 :  Dead to Sin, Alive to God (2 Corinthians 4:7-18)

1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin.

8Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death has no more dominion over him. 10For in that he died, he died to sin once: but in that he lives, he lives to God. 11Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin: but yield yourselves to God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.

Wages of Sin

20For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.  21What fruit had you then in those things whereof you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.  22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

OLD MAN :: ADAM

  • Born of Flesh From Earth
  • Was made a Living Soul
  • Sin entered into the world through 1 man’s offence
  • Death passed unto many
  • Death reigned by 1
  • By the offence of 1 judgementcame condemnation unto all men
  • By the disobedience of 1,  many were made sinners
  • Sin reigned through death
  • The Law entered that the offence may abound

NEW MAN :: JESUS

  • Born of Spirit from Heaven
  • Was made a quickening Spirit
  • Grace entered into the world through 1 man’s righteousness
  • Life passed unto many
  • Righteousness in life shall reign by 1
  • By the righteousness of 1 free gift,  came justification unto life of all men
  • By the obedience of 1, many were made righteous
  • Grace reigned unto righteousness to life
  • But grace did much more abound

Ephesians 4 : Put on the New Man

17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you from now on walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19Who being past feeling have given themselves over to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20But you have not so learned Christ; 21If so be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

john 12 : Jesus Predicts His Death

24Truly, truly, I say to you,

Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it stays alone:

but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.

25He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal. 26If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor.

A seed ceases to become a seed

 (meaning, it has to die)

so it can become something new,

in order to bear fruit.

Why was a new Covenant needed?

  •  The Law was made weak through the flesh.
  •  The law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw near to God.
  •  Our flesh contains sin.
  •  Our flesh intercepted the Law and made it weak.
  •  So God sent His only son, “the Word”, that came as sinful flesh, to live the we couldn’t, and condemned sin in the flesh , so the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us.
  •  Moses Tabernacle and the Law served as a Shadow of the good things to come, but not the very image.
  •  A shadow is caused from the interception of light.
  •  They served as a temporary placeholder (and an example) of what His son would do for us.
  •  The Law came by way of Moses but Grace and Truth came by way of Christ

OLD COVENANT

  • The Law was spoken to them by Moses.
  • Bound through blood of goats and calves.
  • Contained the inheritance of Promised Land

NEW COVENANT

  • Law written into our hearts and minds
  • Bound through blood shed of Christ.
  • Contains the promise of Inheriting Eternal Life

jeremiah 31 : A New Covenant

31Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was an husband to them, said the LORD: 33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, said the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, said the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

John 3 :  Jesus and Nicodemus

1There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him. 3Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4Nicodemus said to him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh;and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7Marvel not that I said to you, You must be born again. 8The wind blows where it wants, and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell from where it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

2 CORINTHIANS 4 :

16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

John 15 : Jesus the True Vine

1I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. 2Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you. 4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. 5I am the vine, you are the branches: He that stays in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. 6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you. 8Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples.9As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue you in my love. 10If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. 11These things have I spoken to you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.  12This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

  •  God created us to Glorify Him.
  •  We glorify Him when we produce the fruits of His spirit.
  •  The only way to produce the fruits of His spirit is by abiding in the vine of Christ, the seed God planted.
  •  The only way to abide in Christ is by turning from sin, repentance, and keeping his commandments.
  •  If we don’t bear fruit for Him, then we are useless disposable vessels…children of Belial.

  • When God saw that Abraham acted upon God’s request, God knew that he feared God, and did not withhold His only son from Him.  Abraham then offered up a substitute offering of a ram in Isaac’s place.

Genesis 26 : Promise to Isaac
4And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give to your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; 5Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

  • Isaac and Rebekah gave birth to Jacob.

Genesis 28 : Promise to Jacob
13And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: the land where on you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed; 14And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. 15And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places where you go, and will bring you again into this land; for I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken to you of.

  • Jacob would be renamed to “Israel” which means “God Prevails” (against the nations) and from Jacob would come the 12 tribes of Israel.

  • Jacob and his 12 sons first lived in Canaan but they eventually moved to Egypt because of the famine in Canaan.

EXODUS 1: THE ISRAELITES MULTIPLY IN EGYPT

1Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. 2Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, 3Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, 4Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. 5And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were 70 souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.6And Joseph died, and all his brothers, and all that generation. 7And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

Leviticus 20 :  Keep All My Decrees

22You shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, where I bring you to dwell therein, spew you not out. 23And you shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them24But I have said to you, You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land that flows with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people. 25You shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and you shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean26And you shall be holy to me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that you should be mine.

  • Just before entering the promised land 40 years later, we see God adding a new covenant to that which was given to the generation before.
  • The covenant that came to the first generation under Moses,  were not so much the instructions,  but were an expansion of the blessings and curses that would result pending the obedience or disobedience to the Law

the 10 commandments

as well as instructions

Covenant at Moab

 which contained

blessings or curses

pending obedience or

disobedience to the Law

After the covenant at Moab, Joshua, from the Tribe of Ephraim, led the Israelite’s across the Jordan and they began taking the land of Canaan which God had promised to give them.  Eventually Israel decided to have a king over them.

Under King Solomon rule, he led Israel to follow the gods of the nations that had been cast out by God.

1 KINGS 11 :  God’s Anger against Solomon

9And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared to him twice, 10And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. 11Why the LORD said to Solomon, For as much as this is done of you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely rend the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant. 12Notwithstanding in your days I will not do it for David your father’s sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of your son. 13However, I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to your son for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen.

JEROBOAM’S REBELLION

31And he said to Jeroboam, Take you ten pieces: for thus said the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to you: 32(But he shall have one tribe for my servant David’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:) 33Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in my eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.
  • Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes which documents that all he had and had built was vanity.

Ecclesiastes 2:11

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do:

and, behold, all [was] vanity[h1892] and vexation of spirit, and [there was] no profit under the sun.

Psalm 39 : I Will Watch My Ways

4LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. 5Behold, you have made my days as an handbreadth; and my age is as nothing before you: truly every man at his best state is altogether vanity[h1892]. Selah. 6Surely every man walks in a vain[h1892]show: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heaps up riches, and knows not who shall gather them. 7And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in you. 8Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. 9I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because you did it. 10Remove your stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of your hand. 11When you with rebukes do correct man for iniquity, you make his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity[h1892]. Selah.

  • After Solomon died, He gave 10 tribes of Israel to Jeroboam and 2 to Judah.

NORTHERN KINGDOM OF ISRAEL

led by Jeroboam (from the tribe of Ephraim) was given 10 tribes and became known as:

  • “The House of Joseph”
  • “The House of Israel”
  • and simply “Ephraim”

SOUTHERN KINGDOM OF JUDAH

led by Solomon (from the tribe of Judah) was given 2 tribes and became known as:

  • “House of Judah”
Just like the US, Israel became divided in two into the Northern and Southern Kingdoms,

but unlike the US,

Israel never came back together.

  • God said He would scatter them among the nations, if they didn’t follow his instructions and were not obedient

DEUTERONOMY 4 : WARNING AGAINST IDOLATRY
27And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the heathen, where the LORD shall lead you.

  •  God had warned Israel just before crossing the Jordan River,  with the added covenant, that this would happen if they didn’t obey,  but they ignored the covenant that said…

DEUTERONOMY 28 : THE CURSES OF DISOBEDIENCE
36The LORD shall bring you, and your king which you shall set over you, to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known; and there shall you serve other gods, wood and stone. 37And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations where the LORD shall lead you.

  • Now we see this scripture in Deuteronomy beginning to unfold, as the people of Israel no longer remain a people,  but begin assimilating into the nations.

2 Kings 17: Israel Exiled Because of Idolatry

15And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity[h1892], and became vain[h1892], and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them16And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. 17And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. 18Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.

Ezekiel 22:  The Sins of Prophets, Priests, Princes

26Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned my holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Israel left all the commandments of God while in the Promised land, and followed after vanity and became vain.

The Spreading of Israel

and the assimilation

back into the Nations would begin.

  • The only thing that’s not vain is learning to observe and do all the things he has commanded us.
  • Moses spoke these words to Joshua,  before the Israelite’s finally made it to the Promised Land after wondering 40 years in the wilderness…

Deuteronomy 32 : Song of Moses

45And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:  Set your hearts to all the words which I testify among you this day, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.  For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life:

After 200 years of Idolatry, God divorced the Northern Kingdom of Israel because they hardened their hearts and rejected God’s Law in pursuing other gods38

HOSEA 1 :
9Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for you are not my people, and I will not be your God.

 HOSEA 4 : GOD’S CHARGES AGAINST ISRAEL

1Hear the word of the LORD, you children of Israel: for the LORD has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. 2By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood touches blood. 3Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwells therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yes, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away. 4Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for your people are as they that strive with the priest. 5Therefore shall you fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with you in the night, and I will destroy your mother. 6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children. 7As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. 8They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity. 9And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings. 10For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit prostitution, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD. 11Prostitution and wine and new wine take away the heart. 12My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declares to them: for the spirit of prostitutions has caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God. 13They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit prostitution, and your spouses shall commit adultery.  14I will not punish your daughters when they commit prostitution, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that does not understand shall fall. 15Though you, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not you to Gilgal, neither go you up to Bethaven, nor swear, The LORD lives. 16For Israel slides back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place. 17Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone18Their drink is sour: they have committed prostitution continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give you. 19The wind has bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.

HOSEA 9 : HOSEA ANNOUNCES ISRAEL’S PUNISHMENT

13Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. 14Give them, O LORD: what will you give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts15All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of my house, I will love them no more: all their princes are rebels. 16Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yes, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. 17My God will cast them away, because they did not listen to him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

Even though Ephraim and the Northern Kingdom had been divorced by God and scattered among the Nations, because they had followed vanity, we see in the prophets, that it is God’s plan to seek them out from where he scattered them.

EZEKIAL 34 : THE GOOD SHEPHERD (PSALM 23:1-6JOHN 10:1-21)
11For thus said the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. 12As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. 13And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them on the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14I will feed them in a good pasture, and on the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed on the mountains of Israel. 15I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, said the Lord GOD. 16I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

23And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. 24And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.

Remarkably, the same day I played the Escape Game

  • was the same day when I figured out who the Lost Sheep were
  • and why Jesus had to die on the cross.

The Lost Sheep are the Northern Kingdom of Israel that had gotten scattered into the nations.

Matthew 18 :  The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15:1-7)

10Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say to you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. 11For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Matthew 10 : Instructions to Disciples
5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter you not: 6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel

Matthew 15 :  The Faith of the Canaanite Woman (Mark 7:24-30)

21Then Jesus went there, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried to him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and sought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us. 24But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. 28Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is your faith: be it to you even as you will. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Matthew 9 :  The Sheep and the Harvest

36But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37Then said he to his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; 38Pray you therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.

I bought a house in 2014.  It was built in 1940 and I had all these plans for how I wanted to renovate it.  The first thing I wanted to do was paint the outside of it because the whole house is tan, including the roof, and I thought it was ugly.  I put it off and first did a few things that I wanted to the inside.

Not to long after I moved in, however, God started increasing His level of conviction in my heart.   I started looking at all things that were going on in the world and I knew He was testing me.  Am I going to seek Him first or am I going to put myself first and how I wanted my house to look.

  • The parable of the wedding banquet in Luke hit me the hardest.

Luke 14 : The Parable of the Banquet (Matthew 22:1-14)

15And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said to him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God. 16Then said he to him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: 17And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

18And they all with one consent began to make excuse.

The first said to him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray you have me excused.

19And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray you have me excused

20And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

21So that servant came, and showed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. 22And the servant said, Lord, it is done as you have commanded, and yet there is room. 23And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. 24For I say to you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

Matthew 22 : The Parable of the Banquet (Luke 14:15-24)

1And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables, and said, 2The kingdom of heaven is like to a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatted calves are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage. 5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

I recently looked back at the tax records and saw that my house was previously painted green

They are 2 of the ugliest colors to paint a house, but they illustrate perfectly the stages of wheat.

That is truly amazing to me.

“Milling” is the process of separating and classifying aggregate material.  My last name is “Miller” which I got from my grandfather in the picture.

“A Miller” is a person who operates a MILL, which is a machine that grinds the harvested wheat grain, into flour, which is used to make bread.

How Bread is made…

Grain/fruit that has been separated the husk of wheatis ground intoFlour

Flour is then mixed with Olive Oil to make dough

Dough is thenplaced in oven to make Bread

Leviticus 23 :  The Feast of Firstfruits

9And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 10Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you be come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest: 11And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to the LORD. 13And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire to the LORD for a sweet smell: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. 14And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that you have brought an offering to your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

The Feast of Pentecost

15And you shall count to you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16Even to the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meat offering to the LORD. 17You shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals;they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they are the first fruits to the LORD. 18And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering to the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet smell to the LORD. 19Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21And you shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation to you: you shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. 22And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not make clean riddance of the corners of your field when you reap, neither shall you gather any gleaning of your harvest: you shall leave them to the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.

John 21 :  Jesus Reinstates Peter

15So when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me more than these? He said to him, Yes, Lord; you know that I love you. He said to him, Feed my lambs. 16He said to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? He said to him, Yes, Lord; you know that I love you. He said to him, Feed my sheep17He said to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Love you me? And he said to him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my sheep. .

So who are his sheep?

The overarching narrative

and redemptive story line

of the bible is the shepherd

and his sheep, which is the bride,

which all

traces back to

Rachel which means “ewe” (lamb)

“the wife Jacob loved most”,

and her 1st born son, JOSEPH,

who “Jacob loved the most out of the 12 tribes”.

  • The 12 Tribes of Israel that came from Jacob came by way of his 2 wives,  Leah and Rachel and their 2 handmaids, Zilphah, and Bilhah.

Handmaids

  • Bilhah : Rachel’s Handmaid
  • Zilpah : Leah’s Handmaid

Wives

  • Rachel
  • Leah
  • Rachel and Leah were the ones that built the house of Israel.

RUTH 4 : BOAZ REDEEMS RUTH

11And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do you worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:

  • Rachel died given birth to Benjamin in Bethlehem which means “House of Bread”.
  • David and Jesus were born in Bethlehem.

Rachel’s Sons

Benjamin (“son of the right hand”)

  •  Paul who planted and established the first churches was from the tribe of Benjamin

Joseph (“God has added”)

  • Joseph, was the son that Jacob “loved the most.”
  • He received the 1st born birthright promise

While in Egypt, Joseph gave birth to 2 sons:

  • Manassah
  • Ephraim

  • It is here where Israel blesses the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt.
  • Israel claims that’s Joseph’s sons are to be treated as his.
  • They were “grandfathered in” as part of the 12 tribes

GENESIS 48 : JACOB BLESSES EPHRAIM AND MANASSEH

1And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, your father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. 2And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, your son Joseph comes to you: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat on the bed. 3And Jacob said to Joseph, God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, 4And said to me, Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people; and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession. 5And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. 6And your issue, which you beget after them, shall be yours, and shall be called after the name of their brothers in their inheritance. 7And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem.

8And Israel beheld Joseph’s sons, and said, Who are these? 9And Joseph said to his father, They are my sons, w21hom God has given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray you, to me, and I will bless them. 10Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near to him; and he kissed them, and embraced them. 11And Israel said to Joseph, I had not thought to see your face: and, see, God has showed me also your seed. 12And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth. 13And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near to him.14And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn. 15And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long to this day,

16The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the middle of the earth. 17And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. 18And Joseph said to his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head19And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

20And he blessed them that day, saying, In you shall Israel bless, saying, God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh. 21And Israel said to Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers. 22Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

When stationed in the wilderness after the Exodus out of Egypt,  all of Rachel’s descendant’s were stationed together in the West and were known as…

the Camp of Ephraim (Joseph’s Son)

  • Ephraim
  • Benjamin
  • Manassah

Joshua from the tribe of Ephraim and Caleb from the Tribe of Judah were the only 2 people that left during the Exodus and survived the wilderness to make into the Promised Land of Canaan.

Joseph receive the 1st born birthright even though he was 2nd to last one born of the 12 tribes because after Rachel died, Reuben who was Jacob’s actual 1st born son through Leah, slept with Bilhah and defiled Jacob’s bed

Because of this, Reuben lost his 1st Born Birth Right

and it was given to Joseph the 1st born of Rachel

1 CHRONICLES 5 :  DESCENDANTS OF REUBEN

1Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but for as much as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. 2For Judah prevailed above his brothers, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)

Jesus, the stone of Israel, came from the Tribe of Judah,  who rules and shepherds his sheep, with his scepter, the Law and commandments that he wrote on our hearts with his Holy spirit.

His sheep are the sons of Rachel

Joseph and Benjamin

and the 2 sons born to Joseph in Egypt,

Ephraim and Manassah 48

Joseph and Judah received the longest prophecy and blessings from Jacob.

Jacob’s prophecy of Joseph : The Fruit

GENESIS 49 : JACOB’S PROPHECY OF HIS SONS

22Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:

23The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:

24But his bow stayed in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

25Even by the God of your father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

26The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brothers.

Jacob’s prophecy of Judah : The Scepter

GENESIS 49 : JACOB’S PROPHECY OF HIS SONS

8Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of your enemies; your father’s children shall bow down before you. 9Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, you are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? 10The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and to him shall the gathering of the people be. 11Binding his foal to the vine, and his ass’s colt to the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: 12His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk

  • EPHRAIM, who received the 1st born blessing, was prophesied to be the fullness of the nations, those not belonging to God.
  • God set the precedent at the Tower of Babel that it’s His seed and nation vs the Nations that were scattered.

(of actions)   the fruit of the Spirit given to us by Christ’s Holy Spirit

  • Jacob said Ephraim would be a fullness of the nations.
  • Jacob was implying that the nations disinherited by God that were scattered at the Tower of Babel that left off building the city, would eventually come together again to try and finish what Nimrod had started.
  • Once the fullness of the nations plan is complete, which is re-establishing Babylon, the city the had left off to build in Genesis, Ephraim at that time, would be scattered among the nations.
  • He will gather them together and then judge the nations.

Genesis 11 : The Tower of Babel

4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach to heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the face of the whole earth.

8So the LORD scattered them abroad from there on the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city

Prophecy of the Northern Kingdom

  • In the book of Ezekial, The Northern Kingdom should have begun being restored after 390 years, which is 331 BC.

EZEKIAL 4 : THE SIEGE OF JERUSALEM PREDICTED

1You also, son of man, take you a tile, and lay it before you, and portray on it the city, even Jerusalem: 2And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about. 3Moreover take you to you an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city: and set your face against it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel. 4Lie you also on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it: according to the number of the days that you shall lie on it you shall bear their iniquity. 5For I have laid on you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, 390 days: so shall you bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. 6And when you have accomplished them, lie again on your right side, and you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed you each day for a year.7Therefore you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and your arm shall be uncovered, and you shall prophesy against it. 8And, behold, I will lay bands on you, and you shall not turn you from one side to another, till you have ended the days of your siege.

  •  However, history shows that the Northern Kingdom never returned to their land.
  •  So what else does Scripture give us that can shed light on this.

LEVITICUS 26 : PUNISHMENTS FOR DISOBEDIENCE
14But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these commandments; 15And if you shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that you will not do all my commandments, but that you break my covenant: 16I also will do this to you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17And I will set my face against you, and you shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and you shall flee when none pursues you. 18And if you will not yet for all this listen to me, then I will punish you 7 times more for your sins. 19And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass: 20And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.21And if you walk contrary to me, and will not listen to me; I will bring 7 times more plagues on you according to your sins.

  • Which is after 2 days and in the 3rd of the punishment.

  • 2009 began the process of the hearts of the Northern Kingdom coming back to Him in large numbers, thus concluding the Northern Kingdom’s judgement.
  • The work of Christ started the restoration but its in the 3rd day that He completes the restoration.
  • After 2 days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us,  that we may live in his presence.  (as it says in Hosea 6:2)
  • He is bringing people back to his ways and back to His law.

Both of my grandfathers happen to pass away in 2009, when God started to really stir up my heart.

My Grandfather didn’t have much money, and tithed when he didn’t know if he was going to even have enough money to pay the bills, yet, he had so much peace in his life.  I will always remember seeing his bible with underlines and highlights all throughout.

At his funeral, the amount of people that came and told me that he was one the “most Godly, humble, and kind men” they had ever met, and the impact he had on their life, made me really question what I was doing with my life.

I saw first hand the fruits produced from a life led by the holy spirit.

I knew the life I was leading was not pleasing to Him.

I had become an empty vine, producing no fruit

I lived to be known and respected for my basketball ability.  That it is how the serpent deceives.  He inverts everything to make it about your glory instead of Gods. That is why my life was in such shambles after college.  You are empty and left with nothing once it ends.  My whole identity was wrapped up in being a successful basketball player.  I desired Vain Glory.

After my dreams of basketball were crushed,  I then pursued after girls, money, and possessions.

The more I did,  the more empty, fruitless, and tired I became.

The reason the picture of my grandfather became so significant to me was because I have had my picture and name in the paper many times for basketball.   The difference though was that My grandfather was laboring for a different kingdom and a much different purpose.

I was laboring

to build my own kingdom

My grandfather

was laboring for God’s Kingdom

I had spent the first 30 years of my life “Laboring in Vain” and  had become Prideful.

The end result was unprofitable empty chaff that scattered with the wind.  I reaped what I sowed.

There is nothing more sobering than realizing the things you have built your life around are worthless in God’s eyes.

Vanity = “excessive pride in or admiration of one’s own appearance or achievements.”

I knew I would not have that same reception as my grandfather had my time ended then.  My life had become a trainwreck.  I tried to carve my own path and it left me with nothing but baggage and misery.

I was in the midst of one the roughest patches of my life, and it was when I really started seeking the Lord with all my heart.

It was when God started opening my eyes and started giving me understanding.

The 2017th Verse of Psalms sums up my life.

PSALMS 119:59

I considered my ways & turned my feet to Your testimonies.

PSALM 119 :

65You have dealt well with your servant, O LORD, according to your word.  66Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed your commandments. 67BEFORE I WAS AFFLICTED I WENT ASTRAY: BUT NOW HAVE I KEPT YOUR WORD. 68You are good, and do good; teach me your statutes.  69The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep your precepts with my whole heart. 70Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in your law. 71IT IS GOOD FOR ME THAT I HAVE BEEN AFFLICTED; THAT I MIGHT LEARN YOUR STATUTES. 72The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

DEUTERONOMY8 :REMEMBER THE LORD YOUR GOD

1All the commandments which I command you this day shall you observe to do, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers. 2And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness,  to humble you, and to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or no. 3And he humbled you, and suffered you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you knew not, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD does man live. 4Your raiment waxed not old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years. 5You shall also consider in your heart, that,  as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you. 6Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him7For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;

Hebrews 12 :  God Disciplines His Sons

4You have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin. 5And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to children, My son, despise not you the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him: 6For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and whips every son whom he receives. 7If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not? 8But if you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons.9Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live? 10For they truly for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to them which are exercised thereby. 12Why lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Before the Israelite’s were led out of Egypt into the wilderness in the Exodus, God appeared to Moses at Mt. Horeb in a burning bush that was not consumed.

EXODUS 3 : MOSES AT THE BURNING BUSH

1Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb[h2722].  2And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.  3And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

JOEL 2 : RETURN WITH ALL YOUR HEART

12Therefore also now, said the LORD, turn you even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:13And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn to the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil. 14Who knows if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering to the LORD your God? 15Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: 16Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. 17Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare your people, O LORD, and give not your heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: why should they say among the people, Where is their God?

RESTORATION PROMISED

18Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people. 19Yes, the LORD will answer and say to his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and you shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen: 20But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill smell shall come up, because he has done great things. 21Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. 22Be not afraid, you beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree bears her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. 23Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he has given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. 24And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. 25And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 26And you shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that has dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel,

REVELATION 12 : THE WOMAN AND THE DRAGON

1And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars: 2And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads. 4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up to God, and to his throne.   6And THE WOMAN FLED INTO THE WILDERNESSwhere she has a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a 1260 days.

THE DRAGON PERSECUTES THE WOMAN

13And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

BRENHAM, TX – Valerie Escalera says she has no explanation, no idea how such a thing could happen. A book, Escalera said, was sitting inside the cab of her burned-out pickup truck, on what used to be the back seat. She wasn’t expecting to find much when she finally got the nerve to inspect her beloved 1995 truck after it was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon while her father Armondo was driving it on Highway 105.  Escalera peeked through the windows and saw one item intact.  There was a book sitting on the springs of the back seat, the wind flipping its pages.

“I thought, ‘Oh my God. What is this?” she said.

When the pages flipped back to reveal the cover, she knew immediately what it was.  It was her leather-bound Bible, inscribed on the cover with her name and her ex-husband’s name.  It sent a shiver up Escalera’s back.

The Bible had survived a fire that fused the doors shut and melted away the dashboard.

“When it revealed itself that it was the holy Bible, I thought, ‘This is unbelievable. This is crazy,’” she said.

Long-forgotten Bible survives fire

“You see images (of religious figures) and all that.  But this is sitting in the back of our good old ranch truck. Everything burned and melted around it. There’s not even a steering wheel.

The leather cover is barely charred. The edges of the Bible are intact.  “I’d put it in a cardboard box, and there’s no trace of that.”

Escalera said she tucked the Bible away when she drove the truck here from California in 1996, covered it with sweatshirts and forgot about it.   Until Monday.

“I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it,” she said this morning. “I’m going to try and take it out. Maybe it’s an omen or something …”

NEWPORT, TENN. (WVLT)A Newport couple that lost almost everything they own in a house fire found a surprise in the ashes.  Justin and Cynthia Wagner were just about to head to bed on Sunday night at their Trentham Road home when they smelled something burning coming from outside the house. Justin said he looked out his front porch and noticed the garage he converted into a makeshift apartment was engulfed in flames.  The fire destroyed the Wagner’s garage, left their Mazda unrecognizable, and did extensive damage to the majority of their two-story home.

“Pretty much everything that we own is gone,” Wagner said.  But then a friend found an unexpected surprise while he was helping the couple clean up on Wednesday morning. In the middle of the ashes was a Bible, opened up to JOHN 3:16.The verse reads, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”  Wagner took that as a clear sign.  “That tells you right there that God is still here with us, he’s still here for us,” he said.

The majority of the Bible was burned with the edges of the pages blackened and charred, but the words of the passage are nearly untouched and clearly visible. Wagner said he has no doubt in his mind that God saved he and his wife that night because there is still more work for them to do on this earth.

MEMPHIS, TN –  An official showed off a bible that was recovered, unharmed, from a car that completely destroyed after it exploded and burst into flames. (Credit: WREG)  A Tennessee man was rescued from a vehicle by good Samaritans and police on Sunday just moments before it exploded and caught fire.   The crash happened on the eastbound side of I-385 near Memphis on Sunday afternoon. The 2014 Jeep Laredo struck a pole and burst into flames.   The Memphis Police Department responded to the scene. An officer and several Good Samaritans were able to pull the trapped driver out of the vehicle right before the explosion.

After firefighters extinguished the fire, officials found an undamaged Bible in the passenger seat of the vehicle. The driver was taken to Regional Medical Center with non-critical injuries. His car was completely destroyed. One witness posted video on Facebook saying, “I just saw GOD on 385.”

‘Unscathed’ in Fiery Crash

GAFFNEY, SOUTH CAROLINA – The sweltering blaze engulfed the car and everything in it. Those who witnessed it never guessed anything could survive such an intense car fire.

“When the fire was burning it was an intense fire,”  said onlooker, TJ Felder.  “Then it just blew up.”

But then firefighters pulled an intact Bible from the backseat.

“There was a bible in the backseat,”  said Gaffney Fire Department Chief Jamie Caggiano.

“It was charred on the edges but not burnt up.”

GATLINBURG, TN –

The day after wildfires tore through Gatlinburg, damaging or destroying more than 700 structures, killing at least 10 people and displacing thousands, Isaac McCord was doing his part to help out, picking up debris from the Dollywood park grounds.

Gripping his rake, he revisited a spot in Craftsman Valley he had skimmed over after his co-worker, Misty Carver, quipped, “Is that how you clean your room?” Provoked, he said he had started “really getting in the nooks and crannies” under a park bench when he caught a glimpse of a piece of paper lying in a puddle of water — soggy, seared and torn in two.

McCord, a University of Tennessee alumnus who now works as a human resources training coordinator at Dollywood, said he had no idea what the paper would read, but considering the circumstances, he was curious enough to pick it up.

“As soon as I got down on the ground, I noticed it was a Bible verse, and I was like holy crap,” McCord said in a phone interview on Tuesday night. “It was in a puddle of water. I said, ‘I want to take care of this the best way I can,’ so I gently scooped it up and carried it out the best I could.”

McCord, 24, sat on the bench where he found the paper, and called Carver over. Their work partners, Dollywood wardrobe manager Angela Davis and employee Kimberly Moore, had left to go to the restroom, McCord said.

In silence, the pair pored over the page, the edges of which were burned black, rendering many words illegible. But parts of the right side of the page were preserved enough to get the message across: it perfectly reflected, McCord said, the tragic natural disaster that had thrust Gatlinburg and Sevier County into the national spotlight the night before.

“O Lord, to thee will I cry: For the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field,”  the page reads, according to a picture of the page posted on McCord’s Facebook.

“At first, we didn’t know what part of the book it was from,” McCord said on Tuesday night, “but we saw bits and pieces about fire and scorching the land, and how the beast groaned and roared for help.”

The page appears to be from the first chapter of Joel from the King James version of the Bible

“We were like this is unreal, this is unbelievable,” McCord said. “When we had both fully read it, we looked at each other — and I will never forget this moment — we both burst into tears. I was ghost white, and we just prayed. There was nothing else to do.

“Still to this moment, almost four hours after the fact, I don’t have words for it.”

HATTIESBURG, MISS. —A tornado wreaked havoc on parts of southern Mississippi.  The William Carey University campus in Hattiesburg was hit hard, with the gym destroyed and many other buildings having sustained extensive damage. The stained-glass window in the school’s Bass Chapel is gone — but it’s what was left inside the chapel that has many amazed.

The tornado left a Bible unharmedand open to PSALM 46, which begins,

“God is our refuge and strength,

a very present help in trouble.”

Rick Wilemon, who teaches in the school’s art department, posted photos of the chapel and Bible to Facebook.

The tornado killed four people and injured more than 50 others, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.

The William Carey University campus remains closed while the university works to rebuild and prepares to resume classes.

HAUGHTON, LA –

A Haughton family loses everything in a house fire early Christmas morning, but they have found comfort after family Bibles are pulled from the rubble, intact.

The fire happened just after midnight Monday morning on Highway 164.

Money, insurance cards, life insurance cards, deeds to the house. They’ve been staying here for like 30 years and everything they own is gone, all their clothes everything.”

Everything that had been a part of Tineke Brewer’s parents lives, now reduced to rubble.

On Christmas Eve, her 70-year-old mother chose to spend the night at the hospital with her 76-year-old husband, who’s fighting to live following brain surgery.

The only one inside was Tineke’s cousin.

“She said something touched her and told her to get up,” explained Tineke, “so she said when she got up she walked out her door and she seen smoke and fire. Her window was hard to lift up, she said that she just kept on trying to pry it open and she jumped out the window.”

Looking at the pile of debris, Tineke can’t help but think “what if.”

“My son, he usually stays over here when my mom is at the hospital, and that night around 10 o’clock he came home and he said his head was hurting, so I gave him some medicine he laid on my couch and went to sleep.”

Two hours later, the fire erupted.

Bible pulled from fire rubble

restores family’s faith

“My husband and my nephew were putting up a basketball goal at the back for the kids, and they ran over here and came knocking on the door saying my mom’s house was on fire. My child could’ve been there.”

But the only items to survive the blaze assures them that this is all part of God’s plan.

“The Bible is the only thing, everything else is crisp and burnt, but the Holy Bible never burns up, it’s a blessing.”

The charred edges reminding them to be strong, brave and to be thankful.

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC

A North Augusta family is rebuilding after a fire left them without a home.  The family lost everything, including their 2 dogs, but among all the rubble one thing remained.

“I will never leave you or forsake you, and he hasn’t left us.” Homeowner Wendy Crawley told WJBF NewsChannel 6.

Crawley says she was on her way home, when she saw her life go up in smoke. Wet pages and minor smoke damage, but her bible survived the fire that destroyed the home and just about everything in it.

“Laying on my night stand, is where I kept it.” Crawley said. “It was the only thing I found that we really needed.”

The flames showed no mercy, claiming the lives of Crawley’s two dogs.

One we’ve had one for 15 years and the other one was our son’s service dog.” She said.

Crawley says Sugar was very special to her 10-year-old, who was diagnosed with Autism 8 years ago.

“She was always there for him,” she said. “If he couldn’t figure out how to calm down, she would come and she would sit, and she would just lay on him and love on him.”

On Monday, the homeowner took our crew through what was left of her house.

For 17 years her family made memories there. Now they can only start over with their faith and the community’s support on their side.

“God didn’t start that fire, but he has certainly brought you through it.” She told WJBF NewsChannel 6.

Crawley says the bible is only one of the miracles she witnessed, that reminds her someone upstairs is keeping her and her family safe.

Fire Destroys South Carolina Home

But Bible Remains Intact Among Rubble

“Do you want to know something crazy? When we came over here, not an ash on that bed.” Crawley said. “Now the cabinet beside it, is messed up, but not an ash on his bed.”

Crawley does have homeowners insurance. At this time the cause of the fire has not been determined.

She tells WJBF NewsChannel 6 she hopes to find her son a new service dog.

Crawley and her family are currently staying with her parents in North Augusta.

1 CORINTHIANS 3 : CHRIST THE ONLY FOUNDATION (Isaiah 28:14-221 Peter 2:4-12)

10According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon.   11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.  12Now if any man build on this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Every man’s work shall be made manifest:

for the day shall declare it,

because it shall be revealed by fire;

and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

14If any man’s work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss:

but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Luke 13 :  Jesus Heals a Woman on the Sabbath

10And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. 11And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. 12And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said to her, Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity. 13And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. 14And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said to the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. 15The Lord then answered him, and said, You hypocrite, does not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 16And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, see, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? 17And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

JOHN 10 :  JESUS THE GOOD SHEPHERD

7Then said Jesus to them again, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

ZECHARIAH 10 : JUDAH AND ISRAEL WILL BE RESTORED

1Ask you of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. 2For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd. 3My anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts has visited his flock the house of Judah, and has made them as his goodly horse in the battle. 4Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together. 5And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

6And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph,

and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy on them:

and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.

7And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine:

yes, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.

8I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased. 9And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. 10I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them. 11And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall depart away. 12And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, said the LORD.

EZEKIAL 37 : THE VALLEY OF DRY BONES

1The hand of the LORD was on me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the middle of the valley which was full of bones, 2And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, see, they were very dry. 3And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, you know. 4Again he said to me, Prophesy on these bones, and say to them, O you dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. 5Thus said the Lord GOD to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live: 6And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

7So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. 8And when I beheld, see, the sinews and the flesh came up on them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. 9Then said he to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus said the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live. 10So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceeding great army.

THE VISION EXPLAINED

11Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. 12Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus said the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14And shall put my spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall you know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, said the LORD.

ONE NATION WITH ONE KING

15The word of the LORD came again to me, saying,

16Moreover, you son of man, take you one stick, and write on it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions:  then take another stick, and write on it,  For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

17And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in your hand.

18And when the children of your people shall speak to you, saying,

Will you not show us what you mean by these?22

19Say to them, Thus said the Lord GOD;

Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph,

which is in the hand of Ephraim,

and the tribes of Israel his fellows,

and will put them with him,

even with the stick of Judah,

and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.

20And the sticks where on you write shall be in your hand before their eyes.21And say to them, Thus said the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, where they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

22And I will make them one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. 23Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

24And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelled; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. 26Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the middle of them for ever more. 27My tabernacle also shall be with them: yes, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the middle of them for ever more.

Leviticus 24 : The Oil for the Lamps (Exodus 27:20-21)

1And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2Command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. 3Without the veil of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening to the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations. 4He shall order the lamps on the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.

People have used olive oil with cotton or linen wicks to cleanse the air around them and to keep flames burning for light for thousand of years. Olive oil is 99% pure fuel; it does not produce smoke or soot and does not burn if spilled. Burning olive oil will smolder and put itself out or at least give you time to put it out. My understanding is that it is because olive oil has low volatility due to its high flash point (it won’t burn until it reaches 550°F), which is also why you need a much thicker wick than for a regular candle or kerosene lamp.

The key to burning olive oil is to keep the wick saturated at all times. The thickness of the oil affects the capillary action so soaking the wick in oil before lighting it works best. Use wicks with a large weave or even tightly twisted strips of cotton cloth. You can also make a wick from a cotton swab. Dip the swab into the oil and then twist the oiled end off of the swab stick and shape it into a teardrop. Float the “teardrop” onto the oil and light. Use low-grade olive oil. It will burn just as well as any high-grade olive oil, but will be cheaper. A little will go along way because it burns quite slowly.

  • Olive Oil burns clean, doesn’t leave a bad smell, and no harmful chemicals.
  • Jesus drank the cup at the Garden of Gethsemane which means “olive press”.
  • Our bodies process bread to be used as energy/fuel.
  • The bread is the word and the Holy Spirit is the Oil.

The Oil

The Holy Spirit

Olive oil comes from the fruit of an olive tree that has been beaten.  Jesus was beaten before the crucifixion.

He became the first fruits and then sent out his holy spirit on the day of Pentecost so we bear the fruits of his spirit.

Acts 2 : The Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Joel 2:28-32John 14:15-26John 16:5-16Acts 10:44-48Acts 19:1-7)

1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared to them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat on each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.   5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, 11Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. 12And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What means this? 13Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

Peter Preaches to the Crowd

14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said to them, You men of Judaea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, bethis known to you, and listen to my words: 15For these are not drunken, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17And it shall come to pass in the last days, said God, I will pour out of my Spirit on all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Olive oil does not need processing, but you need the right kind of wick and lamp, to burn for fuel.

Luke 24 :  Jesus Explains the Prophecies

25Then he said to them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 28And they drew near to the village, where they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.29But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and broke, and gave to them.31And their eyes[g3788] were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 33And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, 34Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon. 35And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

The breaking of bread with his disciples was a representation of Him giving them understanding of why He had to do what he did…and to show them where in the scriptures it said that those things had to be fulfilled.  When He did, the disciples heart burned within them as a lamp.

that they should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart,

and be converted, and I should heal them.

Matthew 6 :  The Lamp of the Body (Luke 11:33-36)

22The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light.

23But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Philippians 2 :  Shining as Stars (Matthew 5:13-16)

12Why, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

15That  you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God,

without rebuke, in the middle of a crooked and perverse nation,

among whom you shine as lights in the world;

16Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.  17Yes, and if I be offered on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. 18For the same cause also do you joy, and rejoice with me.

Daniel 12 :  Michael’s Deliverance and the End Times (Revelation 1:1-3)

1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased5Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. 6And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was on the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was on the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him that lives for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. 8And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.11And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a 1290 days. 12Blessed is he that waits, and comes to the 1335 days. 13But go you your way till the end be: for you shall rest, and stand in your lot at the end of the days.

Matthew 25 :  The Parable of the Ten Virgins

1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened to ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps8And the foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.12But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I know you not. 13Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.

THE Parthenon = the VIRGIN’S TEMPLE

The Parthenon-Nashville

Nashville is called “the Athens of the South.”  Her life-size copy of the Parthenon was constructed in 1897 to celebrate Tennessee’s Centennial and rebuilt in the 1920s.

Inside is sculptor Alan LeQuire’s masterpiece commissioned in 1982, a 41-foot, 10-inch tall statue of the lost Athena-Parthenos.  (27.888 cu)

She’s the tallest indoor sculpture in the Western world.   It is a duplicate of Athena’s Temple.

Considered to be the Serpent’s Eve reborn and exalted after the Deluge  (THE SINKING OF ATLANTIS / Babylon), the immortal Athena stands with her holy rod of power and spear in her hand. Her giant serpent rises at her feet, the protector of the Acropolis (place of secrets) at Athens.

Clothed in leaves of 23.75-karat gold leaf in 2002, Nashville’s golden goddess replicates what historians believe the original statue of Athena looked like.  She is stunning, even bedazzling to behold (when was the last time you stood in front of so much gold?).   It’s breathtaking when they open the 8 ton bronze doors to her temple and let the Sun shine in.

Acts 17 :Paul at Athens

16Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. 17Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. 18Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seems to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached to them Jesus, and the resurrection. 19And they took him, and brought him to Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof you speak, is? 20For you bring certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean. 21(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

Paul Before the Areopagus

22Then Paul stood in the middle of Mars’ hill, and said, You men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are too superstitious. 23For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore you ignorantly worship, him declare I to you. 24God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands; 25Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things; 26And has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:28For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like to gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device30And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent: 31Because he has appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; whereof he has given assurance to all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.

32And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear you again of this matter. 33So Paul departed from among them. 34However, certain men joined to him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Jeremiah 51 :

17Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.  18They are vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. 19The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name.

Exodus 20 : The Ten Commandments (Deuteronomy 5:6-21)

1And God spoke all these words, saying, 2I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3You shall have no other gods before me.

4You shall not make to you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6And showing mercy to thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.

ZECHARIAH 9 : DELIVERANCE OF JUDAH AND EPHRAIM

9Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your King comes to you: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on an ass, and on a colt the foal of an ass.  10And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace to the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. 11As for you also, by the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. 12Turn you to the strong hold, you prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double to you; 13When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and made you as the sword of a mighty man.

I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim,

and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece,

and made you as the sword of a mighty man.

THE LORD WILL SAVE HIS PEOPLE  (Isaiah 45:14-25)

14And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. 15The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. 16And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign on his land17For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

Judges 7:  Gideon Defeats Midian

The symbol of the Gideons is a two-handled pitcher and torch recalling Gideon’s victory

15And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD has delivered into your hand the host of Midian. 16And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers17And he said to them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall you do. 18When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow you the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.

I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim,

and raised up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece,

and made you as the sword of a mighty man.

“The Sword of the Lord” is “the sword of the Holy Spirit”, which is “the Word of God”.

The Holy Spirit which he has given us,  is the Spirit of Truth, which pierces through the soul,  to reveal the intentions of the heart

Luke 2 : Prophecy of Simeon

33And Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him. 34And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; 35(Yes, a sword shall pierce through your own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

FULL ARMOR OF GOD

.

EPHESIANS 6 : THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD

10Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Why take to you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, HAVING YOUR LOINS GIRT ABOUT WITH TRUTH, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Hebrews 4 :

For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword[G3162], piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

  • Circumcision was required by all males as part of God’s Covenant with Israel, which was first established with Abraham.
  •  Joshua used a sword/knife to circumcise all those who were born in the wilderness at hill of foreskins in Gilgal before reaching the Promised Land.

.

The Sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, is used to circumcise the heart, which means removing the reproach of the flesh, so that we keep the commandments and worship God is Spirit and Truth.

Matthew 6 :  Treasures in Heaven (Matthew 13:44-46)

19Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

yet a little while,

and the time of her harvest[h7105] shall come.

Revelation 18 : Babylon is Fallen

4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues. 5For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

14And the fruits that your soul lusted after are departed from you, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from you, and you shall find them no more at all.

The East Frieze on Athena’s Parthenon, it is claimed, contained all the elements of Plato’s Atlantis texts and suggests that the Parthenon was built to commemorate both Athena and Hephaestus (Enki), since they both championed the Athenians in the epic War between Athens and Atlantis.

  • Asenath means “belonging to the goddess Neith”.
  • Gideon was from the Tribe of Manassah.

Judges 6 :  The Call of Gideon

12And the angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor. 13And Gideon said to him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD has forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

My grandfather was representing the Senatobia, MS camp Gideon church.

Senatobia is located in Tate County 30 minutes outside Memphis, TN but is part of the Memphis, TN–MS–AR Metropolitan Statistical Area.

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects.

Memphis was believed to be under the protection of the god Ptah, the patron of craftsmen. Its great templeHut-ka-Ptah (meaning “Enclosure of the ka of Ptah”), was one of the most prominent structures in the city. The name of this temple, rendered in Greek as Aί-γυ-πτoς (Ai-gy-ptos) by the historian Manetho, is believed to be the etymological origin of the modern English name Egypt.

The name Senatobia was derived from the Indian word Senatohoba,

The statue of the Pharaoh Ramasses the Great in Memphis, Tn

which means “White Sycamore”—a symbol of “rest for the weary.”

The Pharoah called Joseph Zaphnath-paaneah

which means “treasury of the glorious rest”.

The Hebrews interpreted it as “revealer of a secret”.

The Parthenon Acropolis is “the place of secrets”.

Exodus 12 : The Exodus Begins

34And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes on their shoulders. 35And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: 36And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent to them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians. 37And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses[h7486]to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. 38And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle. 39And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

My sister lives in Birmingham, AL, home of THE VULCAN STATUE.

The Vulcan statue is the largest cast iron statue in the world, and is the city symbol of Birmingham, Alabama, reflecting its roots in the iron and steel industry. The 56-foot (17 m) tall statue depicts the Roman god Vulcan, god of the fire and forge. It was created as Birmingham’s entry for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition (1904 World’s Fair) in St. Louis, Missouri. The statue is the world’s largest iron-ore statue, and among the nation’s tallest.[2]

Hephaestus, Ptah, vulcan, Enki

are the biblical equivalents of:

TUBAL-CAIN

who was the first METAL WORKER

and the last descendant of CAIN

mentioned before THE FLOOD

TUBAL CAIN has even been described as

and a
PROMINENT ALCHEMIST
because he was the holder of
“PLUTONIC THEORY.”

Genesis 4 : Descendants of Cain

22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain [was] Naamah.

Athena beams at a 2,200-foot long ‘rod’ that has been growing since 1996 in front of the north slope of the artificially tiered mound upon which sits the State Capitol, a few short miles away.

Known as the Tennessee Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park located at the base of the State Capitol in downtown Nashville features a 2,200-foot long ‘rod’ laid out on 19 acres.

Its designers say this rod was “forged to honor the Capitol and exalt all that is Tennessee.”

(This is an interesting choice of words considering Hephaestus also forged Athena’s rod.)

Henry Wallace in 1999,  noticed the uncanny similarity of its design to a second century drawing of Enki’s mystical Meru rod (on the left).

The Meru diagram is a mandala, a mnemonic device, designed to guide the neophyte into meditation and communion.  The Meru rod resembles an antenna because that’s what Meru myth says it was. It is claimed that the immortals or the Great Spirit (symbolized in Judaism by a Serpent of Wisdom) lived at Meru because of the protecting power of the healing universal life force energy – the Key of Life – emitted (or transmitted) by Meru.  The triangular apex at the top of the pillar symbolizes Shambhala, the dwelling of the gods.

Mount Meru, in Hindu mythology, a golden mountain that stands in the centre of the universe and is the axis of the world. It is the abode of gods, and its foothills are the Himalayas, to the south of which extends Bhāratavarṣa (“Land of the Sons of Bharata”), the ancient name for India.   The roof tower crowning the shrine in a Hindu temple represents Meru.

Meru is symbolic of the antenna-like beacon or link the Dur~An~Ki,  Sitchin says was used by the Anunnaki for sending messages heavenward and as a ceremonial center for state visits of Anu, Enki’s father, to Su-Meru.

Both of my grandfathers happened to be stationed in India during World War II.

The rod portion of the Mall has seven springs running beneath it. (The cosmic Tree of Life is always rooted in water.)  Each of the body’s seven chakras is perfectly marked with appropriate symbolism at the Mall.  It is truly a Seven-Gated Magician’s Rod fitting of Hermes.

This living temple is lined with oak trees, which means it fits the biblical definition of an Ashera.  The Hebrew word ashera, rendered grove in the Authorized Version of the Bible refers to a living or wooden pillar or a grove of trees of the Anunnaki goddess, Is-Tara or Astarte.  Ashi is the Sumerian root for ‘heal’.  These healing pillars of worship, where the Great Wise Serpent/Spirit (Enki) manifested, were forbidden by the Jewish patriarchy.  The fact that the ashera was the place of worship of Ishtar is integral to decoding the Mall.

Gideon was tasked with tearing down the altar’s of Baal  and the grove’s of Asherah.

My Grandfather was passing out Gideon bible’s at the Ole Miss university who are known as the “Rebels” and are famous for “the grove”.

Described as “the Holy Grail of tailgating sites” by Sporting News,[4]  It is the tailgating area located at the center of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) campus. It is approximately 10 acres (4.0 ha) in size. The Grove takes its name from “the oak, elm and magnolia trees surrounding the area.

Judges 6 : Gideon Destroys Baal’s Altar

25And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said to him, Take your father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the grove[h842] that is by it: 26And build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove[h842]which you shall cut down.

William Henry, in his book City of Peace, he chanced upon Nashville’s Mall-Meru cross in 1999 while researching FDRs quest for the secrets of Jesus in Shambhala, the apex of Meru, in Mongolia in 1934.  He followed a clue in a coded letter sent by Henry A. Wallace, FDR’s Secretary of Agriculture and partner in this “Grail quest”, to the famed guru Nicholas Roerich, the third ‘wise man’ in this trinity.   It suggested that Nashville, TN was a possible repository for the results of their investigation.

The key clue that led Henry to the Mall site was Wallace’s mention of a “sacred casket” or coffin and a location in America marked by “7 stars under 3 stars”.  Tennessee’s state flag is the only flag in the union that has only 3 stars.

According to state archaeologists, the Mall site has been used as a ceremonial center since 900 AD when the Mississippian culture built a ceremonial mound royal grave just 70 yards away.  “Vast numbers” of bodies are interred here.  This makes this site a giant coffin.

The Arabs called

the 7 stars of the Big Dipper ‘Nash’,

which meant ‘the great coffin’.

The Sumerians called

this constellation Meru,

meaning the sacred casket.

Middle Tennessee was originally called “the Mero District.”

The last name of the team member I used to drag the silver ball in a straight line was “Kever”.

As it turns out, Kever in Hebrew = “grave” or “tomb”

קֵבֶר  kever;   “grave”

At the apex of the Bicentennial Mall in Nashville, is a Stonehenge-like stone circle called the Court of Three Stars.  The 4-foot diameter, Egyptian djed-like pillars hold 95 bells of different pitches (one for each county in Tennessee) that form a musical instrument called a carillon – the largest in the world. The 95 bells resonate with a 96th bell located beside the Capitol.

Coincidentally, the Land of Shambhala, with Meru as its center, has 96 principalities.

The stone circle or Gilgal.

1For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, said the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. 2But to you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. 3And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, said the LORD of hosts. 4Remember you the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 5Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Joshua, who was from the tribe of Ephraim, the other son of Joseph, took 12 men, one from each tribe, and each took a stone out the Jordan on his shoulder.

The stones on the shoulder meant the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the Ark of the Covenant when it passed over.  The stones were placed at Gilgal.

Joshua 5 : Twelve Stones from the Jordan

1And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spoke to Joshua, saying, 2Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man, 3And command you them, saying, Take you hence out of the middle of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, and you shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where you shall lodge this night.4Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man: 5And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of Jordan, and take you up every man of you a stone on hisshoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel: 6That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean you by these stones? 7Then you shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel for ever.

Joshua then used a sword/knife to circumcise all those who born in the wilderness before entering the Promised Land in Gilgal at the Hill of Foreskins.   Gilgal was named by Joshua because He had removed the reproach of Egypt from off of them.

Joshua 6 : The Circumcision at Gilgal   (Genesis 17:9-27Leviticus 12:1-8Acts 15:1-4)

1And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel. 2At that time the LORD said to Joshua, Make you sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time. 3And Joshua made him sharp knives, and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins. 4And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt. 5Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised. 6For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: to whom the LORD swore that he would not show them the land, which the LORD swore to their fathers that he would give us, a land that flows with milk and honey. 7And their children, whom he raised up in their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way. 8And it came to pass, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they stayed in their places in the camp, till they were whole9And the LORD said to Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Why the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day.

2 Timothy 3 : Evil in the Last Days

1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Romans 1 :  God’s Wrath against Sin (Jeremiah 6:10-21Jeremiah 25:15-33Jonah 1:4-10Acts 27:13-26)

18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has showed it to them. 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.

SO WHAT IS TRUTH?

1 Timothy 2:4

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth

Truthwas established through:

  • the Law
  • and Commandments

PSALM 119

142 Thy righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, and thy Law is the Truth

151 Thou [art] near, O LORD; and all thy Commandments are the Truth

  • Grace and Truth was then established in our hearts by Jesus, who was the Word made flesh.
  • He fulfilled the Law for us in the flesh, took the judgement we deserved.
  • He commanded us to abide in his love and truth by performing his commandments.
  • We are saved by grace and not by works, so no man has any room to boast.

 John 1:

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,  full of grace and truth.[G225]

17 For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth[G225] came by Jesus Christ.

  •  Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
  •  No man can come to God but through Him.

JOHN 14 :

5Thomas said to him, Lord, we know not where you go; and how can we know the way?  6Jesus said to him, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

  •  God is a spirit
  •  We must worship Him in Spirit and Truth.

John 4:24

God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.[G225]

  •  His Holy Spirit  is the Spirit of Truth which guides us in Truth

John 14:17

[Even] the Spirit of truth;[G225] whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 16:13

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth;,[G225] is come, he will guide you into all truth:[G225] for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

  •  The Truth sets us free from bondage.

John 8:32  And ye shall know the truth,[G225] and the truth[G225] shall make you free.

  •  John the Baptist bore witness to the truth and he had his loins girded in truth
  •  John the Baptist baptized with water unto repentance which is an expression of being washed clean/sanctified.
  •  We are cleansed and sanctified through the washing of his Word, which is the truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:13

God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:[G225]

  •  We are to walk in His Truth by abiding in Him through keeping His commandments

  •  A Polygraph Test is commonly used by Law Enforcement and government agencies.
  •  They tie a band around your heart.
  •  It measures and records several physiological indices such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and skin conductivity while the subject is asked and answers a series of questions
  •  You are first asked basic questions like what your name is, to establish a baseline of truth, before it asks more interrogating questions

if you are telling the truth

the needle drawing a straight line

  •  God establishes the baseline of Truth with His Law
  •  God judges based on whether or not you can keep the line straight.
  •  God is the one searching the Heart.
  •  Unrighteousness makes the polygraph needle jump all over the place to the right and left.
  •  Unrighteousness means you failed the Lie Detector Test and guilty of the Crime (SIN).
  •  Therefore you condemned to punishment (Judgement).
  •  God, being merciful, gave us a way to pass the Polygraph through the giving of His Son and His Mercy.
  •  The Polygraph needle stays straight under interrogation and tribulation if we Abide in His Love and Truth through his Holy Spirit which was given to us by Him who fulfilled the Law) (I am the Way, The Truth, and Light, no man come to Father but by me)
  •  The Needle is Established (Fixed) by Grace and are considered Not Guilty.
  •  When we do sin, we have a intecessor (attorney), the Holy Spirit, given to us by Jesus,  that pleads for us on our behalf in front of the Judge (God) as did Moses
  •  Thus being able to pass the test, and declared Righteous in his sight.

Just like Gideon, who felt unequipped and asked for confirmation for what he was asked to do…

Judges 6The Signs of the Fleece

5And he said to him, Oh my Lord, with which shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

36And Gideon said to God, If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said, 37Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the threshingfloor[h1637];

and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry on all the earth beside, then shall I know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said.

I also felt unequipped and was asking God for confirmation that this is what he wanted me to do.

have never felt called by God to do anything.   God gave all of us gifts as part of being in the body of Christ.  I wasn’t sure what mine was.

That day happened to be one of the peak days of my overwhelm and frustration.   On my way there I actually pulled off the side of the road and just started crying.  I was crying out to Him a conversation that went like this: ““Is this really what you want me to be doing? Why me?  I am not equipped to do this.”

Gideon was threshing wheat by the winepress.  Wheat in bulk was threshed using a Threshing-board.

The sign God showed me that day was using a board to keep the path straight to open the door

Judaicum Bitumen

More than 4000 years ago, according to The Greek historian Herodotus and Diodorus Siculus, hot bitumen was used as mortar in the walls and towers of Babylon.  Approximately 40 AD, Dioscorides described the Dead Sea material as Judaicum Bitumen.

It is a light-sensitive material in what is accepted to be the first complete photographic process, i.e., one capable of producing durable light-fast results.[2]

The technique was developed by French scientist and inventor Nicéphore Niépce in the 1820s.  In 1826 or 1827, he applied a thin coating of the tar-like material to a pewter plate and took a picture of parts of the buildings and surrounding countryside of his estate, producing what is usually described as the first photograph.

It is considered to be the oldest known surviving photograph made in a camera.

ELECTRICITY :: “THE ELECTRIC – CITY”

In the 19th and early 20th century, electricity was not part of the everyday life of many people, even in the industrialized Western world.  Electricity remained little more than an intellectual curiosity for millennia until 1600, when the English scientist William Gilbert made a careful study of electricity and magnetism, distinguishing the lodestone effect from static electricity produced by rubbing amber.  He coined the New Latin word electricus(“of amber” or “like amber”, from ἤλεκτρον, elektron, the Greek word for “amber”) to refer to the property of attracting small objects after being rubbed.

The early 19th century had seen rapid progress in electrical science, the late 19th century would see the greatest progress in electrical engineering. Electricity turned from a scientific curiosity into an essential tool for modern life, becoming a driving force of the Second Industrial Revolution.

The solid-state device came into its own with the invention of the transistor in 1947.  Common solid-state devices include transistors, microprocessor chips, and RAM. A specialized type of RAM called flash RAM is used in USB flash drives and more recently, solid-state drives to replace mechanically rotating magnetic disc hard disk drives.

The popular culture of the time accordingly often depicts it as  a mysterious, quasi-magical force that can slay the living, revive the dead or otherwise bend the laws of nature. The masters of electricity, whether fictional or real—including scientists such as Thomas Edison, Charles Steinmetz or Nikola Tesla—were popularly conceived of as having wizard-like powers.

ISAIAH 34 : GOD’S JUDGMENTS ON THE NATIONS

1Come near, you nations, to hear; and listen, you people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. 2For the indignation of the LORD is on all nations, and his fury on all their armies: he has utterly destroyed them, he has delivered them to the slaughter. 3Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcasses, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

4And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll:

and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falls off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

5For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down on Idumea, and on the people of my curse, to judgment. 6The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. 7And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. 8For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion.

9And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch[h2203],

and the dust thereof into brimstone,

and the land thereof shall become burning pitch[h2203]

10It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. 11But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out on it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. 12They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing. 13And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. 14The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to  his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. 15There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.

Seek you out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail

none shall want her mate: for my mouth it has commanded, and his spirit it has gathered them.

17And he has cast the lot for them, and his hand has divided it to them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.

5But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took to them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. 6And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brothers to the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come here also; 7Whom Jason has received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.8And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things. 9And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.

“When the vernal equinox no longer occurs in the sign of Taurus, the sun god incarnated in the constellation of Aries and the Ram became the vehicle of the solar power.  The sun rising in the sign of the celestial lamb triumphs over the symbolic serpent of darkness.  The Golden Fleece sought by Jason and his argonauts is the Celestial lamb – the spiritual and intellectual sun.  The secret doctrine is also typified by the Golden Fleece.  The wool of the divine life.  The Arts of the sun of truth.   The Golden Fleece has been thought by some to be in reality a book, written upon skin, which contrived the formulae for the production of gold by means of chemistry.  The Mysteries were institutions erected for the transmutation of base ignorance into precious illumination.  The Dragon of Ignorance was the terrible creature set to guard the golden fleece and represents the darkness of the old year which battled with the sun at time of its equinoctal passage.  The destruction of the dragon represents the transformation of Man through the gnostic understanding of the identity of the first serpent in the first garden”

15And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD has delivered into your hand the host of Midian. 16And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers. 17And he said to them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall you do.18When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow you the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.

3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime[h2564]had they for mortar. 4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach to heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the face of the whole earth. 5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built. 6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. 8So the LORD scattered them abroad from there on the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from there did the LORD scatter them abroad on the face of all the earth

  • coal 27.4%,
  • natural gas 23.0%,

amounting to an 86.4% share for fossil fuels in primary energy consumption in the world.

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) is planning to sue oil companies, alleging they are

“knowingly killing people all over the world.”

“The oil companies knew from 1959 on, they did their own study that there would be global warming happening because of fossil fuels, and on top of it that it would be risky for people’s lives, that it would kill.”

Coal contains Sulfur and other elements, including dangerous metals such as mercury, lead, and arsenic, that escape into the air when coal is burned.

Burning coal also produces particulates that increase air pollution and health dangers.  Burning coal emits large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere..

The central elements in western alchemy are mercurysulfur and salt, used to describe spiritual processes in terms of chemical reactions.  The three essentials can also be called the Tria Prima, the Three Universals, the three humors, and many other things. It can be represented by a three headed dragon in illustrations.

Salt is the principle of the earth element

SODOMis known as THE CITY OF SALT

Lot’s wife looked back & became“pillar of salt”

Remember Lot’s Wife

Sodom was rained down upon

  • with fire and brimstone
  • which is “sulfur.

How Coal is transmuted

— into —

.

Electricity at A Power plant

Coal is placed in a machine called a pulverizer

which grinds the coal into fine powder

The powder mixes with hot air

to help make it burn more efficiently

The mixture is moved to a furnace

and the burning coal heats water

in a boiler creating steam

Steam released from boiler power turbine engine transforms heat energy from burning coal

— into —

mechanical energy

that spins the turbine

The turbine is used to power the generator

which turns mechanical energy

— into —

 electrical energy,

through magnets inside a copper coil

A condenser cools the steam moving through turbine

as the steam is condensed, it turns back to water

The water returns to the boiler and the cycle starts over again

DEUTERONOMY 4 :

20But the LORD has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as you are this day.

Students of Judeo-Christian prophecy claim that the ‘End Time’ will see the appearance of Revelation 12’s ‘woman clothed with the sun’ who bears a child who rules with a rod of iron.  It will also see the return of the prophet Elijah (through the gilgal, I presume) and the rebuilding of Solomon’s Temple, an act that is instrumental in the creation of the New Thousand Years of Peace.  It is thought that Elijah will return the Rod of Jesse – the rod signifying his power, a branch from the Tree of Life – to the Messiah, who will be seated on the Mercy Seat in the Holy of Holies of Solomon’s Temple on Mount Moriah (or is it Meru?).  He will replace the Ark of the Covenant that had symbolized him, in the place where God is believed to have first walked with Adam and Eve, the Garden of Eden.  Just as a branch from the Tree of Life was kept before the Ark, he will set the Rod of God before himself on the Throne of God, where the Tree of Life had grown in the Garden of Eden.

Ezekiel 44 : Rules for Levites

23 And they shall teach my people [the difference] between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
