7/11/2017  17th of Tammuz
The Walls of the Jewish Temple were breached on the 17th day  of Tammuz.  The 17th of Tammuz is a communal fast day that commemorates the Breaching of the Walls of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar (586 BCE) and Titus (70 CE), prior to the destruction of the Holy Temple.

These breaks in the walls of the holy city of Jerusalem came after many months of siege in which the city’s residents suffered extreme hardships, sickness and hunger.

Five calamities befell the Jewish people on this day (according to the Mishnah (Taanit 4:6)):

Moses broke the two tablets of stone on Mount Sinai;

The daily tamid offering ceased to be brought;

The walls of Jerusalem were breached (proceeding to the destruction of the Temple);

Prior to Bar Kokhba’s revolt, Roman military leader Apostomus burned a Torah scroll;
An idol was erected in the Temple.
On July 8, 1944 (17th of Tammuz 5704), the Germans deported most of the remaining Jews to the Dachau concentration camp in Germany or to the Stutthof camp, near Danzig, on the Baltic coast. Three weeks before the Soviet army arrived in Kovno, the Germans razed the ghetto to the ground with grenades and dynamite. As many as 2,000 people burned to death or were shot while trying to escape.

This also marks the beginning of a 3-week (21 day) national period of mourning, leading up to Tisha B’Av, which is the 9th of AV or the 11th month on the civil calendar (9/11).

3And Moses went up unto God, and Jehovah called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: 4Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles wings, and brought you unto myself. 5Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be mine own possession from among all peoples: for all the earth is mine: 6and ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

9/23/2017 Shabbat Shuvah Sabbath [of] Return”שבת שובהthesign

(“Sabbath [of] Return”) refers to the Shabbat that occurs during the Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.   Only one Shabbat can occur between these dates. This Shabbat is named after the first word of the Haftarah (Hosea 14:2-10) and literally means “Return!”

23
Hosea 14 : An Exhortation to Repentance
2 Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, For you have fallen because of your sin. 3 Take words with you And return to the Lord. Say to Him: “Forgive all guilt And accept what is good; Instead of bulls we will pay [The offering of] our lips. 4 Assyria shall not save us, No more will we ride on steeds; Nor ever again will we call Our handiwork our god, Since in You alone orphans find pity!” 5 I will heal their affliction, Generously will I take them back in love; For My anger has turned away from them. 6 I will be to Israel like dew; He shall blossom like the lily, He shall strike root like a Lebanon tree. 7 His boughs shall spread out far, His beauty shall be like the olive tree’s, His fragrance like that of Lebanon. 8 They who sit in his shade shall be revived: They shall bring to life new grain, They shall blossom like the vine; His scent shall be like the wine of Lebanon. 9 Ephraim [shall say]: “What more have I to do with idols? When I respond and look to Him, I become like a verdant cypress.” Your fruit is provided by Me. 10 He who is wise will consider these words, He who is prudent will take note of them. For the paths of the Lord are smooth; The righteous can walk on them, While sinners stumble on them.
23
Micah 7 : God’s Compassion on Israel
18 Who is a God like You, Forgiving iniquity And remitting transgression; Who has not maintained His wrath forever Against the remnant of His own people, Because He loves graciousness! 19 He will take us back in love; He will cover up our iniquities, You will hurl all our sins Into the depths of the sea. 20 You will keep faith with Jacob, Loyalty to Abraham, As You promised on oath to our fathers In days gone by.
23
Joel 2 : Return with All Your Heart
15 Blow a horn in Zion, Solemnize a fast, Proclaim an assembly! 16 Gather the people, Bid the congregation purify themselves. Bring together the old, Gather the babes And the sucklings at the breast; Let the bridegroom come out of his chamber, The bride from her canopied couch. 17 Between the portico and the altar, Let the priests, the Lord’s ministers, weep And say: “Oh, spare Your people, Lord! Let not Your possession become a mockery, To be taunted by nations! Let not the peoples say, ‘Where is their God?'” 18 Then the Lord was roused On behalf of His land And had compassion Upon His people. 19 In response to His people The Lord declared: “I will grant you the new grain, The new wine, and the new oil, And you shall have them in abundance. Nevermore will I let you be A mockery among the nations. 20 I will drive the northerner far from you, I will thrust it into a parched and desolate land —  Its van to the Eastern Sea And its rear to the Western Sea; And the stench of it shall go up, And the foul smell rise.” For [the Lord] shall work great deeds. 21 Fear not, O soil, rejoice and be glad; For the Lord has wrought great deeds. 22 Fear not, O beasts of the field, For the pastures in the wilderness Are clothed with grass. The trees have borne their fruit; Fig tree and vine Have yielded their strength. 23 O children of Zion, be glad, Rejoice in the Lord your God. For He has given you the early rain in [His] kindness, Now He makes the rain fall [as] formerly —  The early rain and the late —  24 And threshing floors shall be piled with grain, And vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. 25 “I will repay you for the years Consumed by swarms and hoppers, By grubs and locusts, The great army I let loose against you. 26 And you shall eat your fill And praise the name of the Lord your God Who dealt so wondrously with you —  My people shall be shamed no more. 27 And you shall know That I am in the midst of Israel: That I the Lord am your God And there is no other. And My people shall be shamed no more.”

9/30/2017 Yom Kippur Day of Atonement

Yom Kippur (Hebrew: יוֹם כִּפּוּר or יום הכיפורים), Also known as Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the year for the Jews. Its central themes are atonement and repentance. Jews traditionally observe this holy day with a 25-hour period of fasting and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services. Yom Kippur completes the annual period known in Judaism as the High Holy Days (or sometimes “the Days of Awe”).

REVELATION 12 : THE WOMAN AND THE DRAGON

3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads. 4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up (G726) to God, and to his throne.6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three score days.

Revelation 11: The Two Witnesses
1Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers there. 2But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months. 3And I will empower my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for a 1260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”

Matthew 24 : As in the days of Noah

36But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. 37And as were the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. 38For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man. 40Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left: 41two women’shall be grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.

42Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh. 43But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through. 44Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.

The symbol of the sphinx comes from the Greek root meaning “to bind together”epochIt is a hybrid creature combining the constellation Leo and Virgo.Images of the mythical sphinx were placed at entryways to temples, and at the thresholds of doorways. The most common depiction of the sphinx is the creature posing the riddle to Oedipus:  the subject of the sphinx’s riddle-the life span of mankind-dicloses the link between the sphinx and the ouroborus, symbol of the aion (or age)The sign of the suntelia occurred while the Milky Way aligned with the horizon of the earth, and the sun rose in the mouth of the ouroborus during the Autumn Equinox, Sept 21st-during the age between Leo and Virgo.
“The Egyptians have a legend that the end of Osiris’ (Nimrod) life came on the 17th of a month, on which day it is quite evident to the eye that the period of the full moon is over.”  Now, because of this, the Pythagoreans call this day “the Barrier,” and utterly abominate this number.
 ~ Plutarch’s ‘Moralia’
The Egyptians and the Sumerians described the first land after the deluge as a primordial mound that rose out of the cosmic sea.The time referred to in myth as the Flood was the time demarked by the Ouroboral cosmic clock. The cosmic waters aligned to surround the earth while at the same time the world was actually destroyed by a flood; This heavenly portent and the earth’s destruction by water occurred at the same time.
It was during that transition from the age of Virgo to Leo,
embodied by the sphinx,
that the Great Flood of legend occurred.

“The importance of Jupiter to spiritual men can also be recognized in the circumstances of Jesus’ birth. The “wise men” who came to worship Jesus after his birth were members of a long line of an ancient eastern cast located in Persia. They were called magi. A large part of their responsibility was to watch the heavens and interpret the signs occurring in the cycle of the zodiac for the future administration of government. As was the practice they recorded the information and stored it in their archives for future generations of magi. At one time, when the Old Testament Hebrew prophet Daniel was in captivity in Persia’s Babylon, the Persian king assigned him to be the head of this cast of magi. Apparently, it was Daniel who informed this cast of those heavenly signs for which to look in order to reveal to them that the Messiah, Jesus, had been born in Israel. In the 7th month of Tishri in 3 BC (during the Feast of Tabernacles), Jupiter rose in the east after sunset and went into retrograde motion making the triple conjuction as it moved back in forth in Leo and the bright star Regulus.
Melchizedek is a compound word that contains this Hebrew word Zedek, the Hebrew name for our planet named Jupiter.  Melchizedek means either “righteousness is my king” or “king of righteousness”. (Hebrews 7:2).  Here, one may recall that Abraham, the father of faith, paid tithes to Melchizedek.  Zedek represents both Yahweh our righteousness and Y’shua (Jesus Christ) who is a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

The mass of Jupiter is approximately 318  times that of the Earth.

Genesis 14 : Abram Rescues Lot

13And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelled in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram. 14And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen (318), and pursued them to Dan. 15And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus. 16And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

Melchizedek Blesses Abram

17And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale. 18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.  19And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:  20And blessed be the most high God, which has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Hebrews 7 : Melchizedek and Abraham
1For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like to the Son of God; stays a priest continually.  4Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. 5And truly they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: 6But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 8And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. 9And as I may so say, Levi also, who receives tithes, paid tithes in Abraham. 10For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

Jesus a Priest Like Melchizedek
11If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?12For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. 13For he of whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. 14For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. 15And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there rises another priest, 16Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17For he testifies, You are a priest for ever after the Order of Melchisedek.  18For there is truly a cancellation of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw near to God. 20And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:  21(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said to him, The Lord swore and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)  22By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.  23And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24But this man, because he continues ever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25Why he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come to God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.  26For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28For the law makes men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, makes the Son, who is consecrated for ever more.

“Which passages of scripture should guide our public policy?”  “Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is an abomination? Or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith? Or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount?  “So before we get carried away, let’s read our Bible now,” (said, to cheers).  “Folks haven’t been reading their Bible.” “Or should we go with Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, a passage that is so radical that it’s doubtful that our Defense Department would survive its application.”

“We have before us the opportunity to forge for ourselves and for future generations a new world order–a world where the rule of law, not the law of the jungle, governs the conduct of nations. When we are successful–and we will be–we have a real chance at this new world order, an order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision of the U.N.’s founders. . . “

Genesis 11 : The Tower of Babel
1And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelled there. 3And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. 4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach to heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the face of the whole earth. 5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built. 6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. 8So the LORD scattered them abroad from there on the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from there did the LORD scatter them abroad on the face of all the earth.

Acts 14 : The Visit to Lystra and Derbe

8And there sat a certain man at Lystra, weak in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: 9The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on your feet. And he leaped and walked. 11And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. 12And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker. 13Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.14Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out, 15And saying, Sirs, why do you these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach to you that you should turn from these vanities to the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein: 16Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways. 17Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. 18And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice to them.

Acts 17 : Paul at Athens

22Then Paul stood in the middle of Mars’ hill, and said, You men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are too superstitious. 23For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore you ignorantly worship, him declare I to you. 24God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands;25Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things; 26And has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like to gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.30And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent:31Because he has appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; whereof he has given assurance to all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.

Paul’s issue was they were worshiping Jupiter as an object instead of them worshiping God as the creator.

ACTS 19: THE RIOT IN EPHESUS

21After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome. 22So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered to him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.

23And the same time there arose no small stir about that way. 24For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain to the craftsmen;25Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, you know that by this craft we have our wealth. 26Moreover you see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: 27So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nothing; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships.

28And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. 29And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre. 30And when Paul would have entered in to the people, the disciples suffered him not. 31And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent to him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre. 32Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not why they were come together. 33And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defense to the people. 34But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.35And when the town cleark had appeased the people, he said, You men of Ephesus, what man is there that knows not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?36Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly. 37For you have brought here these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess. 38Why if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them accuse one another. 39But if you inquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly. 40For we are in danger to be called in question for this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse. 41And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

GENESIS 48 : Jacob Blesses Ephraim and Manasseh
5And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. 17And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. 18And Joseph said to his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head. 19And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
Ephraim, the youngest, received the 1st born blessing was prophesied to be the fullness of the nations, those belonging to God.

Deuteronomy 33 : The Blessings of the Twelve Tribes
13And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 14And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, 15And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, 16And for the precious things of the earth and fullness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelled in the bush: let the blessing come on the head of Joseph, and on the top of the head of him that was separated from his brothers. 17His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
Moses’ desire for Joseph was primarily for agriculture and military success.
The allusion to him that dwelt in the bush is to place Joseph back at the setting of the covenant God made with Israel at the burning bush and all the promises of His abundant grace associated with it.
The Ten Northern Tribes of Israel who were divorced by God became known as Ephraim because it was Joseph’s son Ephraim who became their tribal leader according to (Genesis) 48:18-22.

jeremiah 3 : Faithless Israel
6The LORD said also to me in the days of Josiah the king, Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? she is gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there has played the harlot. 7And I said after she had done all these things, Turn you to me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. 8And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce;

How then can God remarry the lost sheep of Israel,
without breaking His own Law?

Deuteronomy 24 : Law of Divorce
1“When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out from his house, 2and she leaves his house and goes and becomes another man’s wife, 3and if the latter husband turns against her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter husband dies who took her to be his wife, 4then her former husband who sent her away is not allowed to take her again to be his wife, since she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the LORD, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance.

God CAN NOT sin!

How then, could God remarry who He divorced,
when God says it was a sin to do so?

ROMANS 7 : RELEASED THROUGH DEATH
1Or do you not know, brothersa—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? 2For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage.b
Paul goes onto say that we die in Christ, when we come into the faith.
Releasing both us and God from the requirement of the law as it relates to divorce and remarriage.
So Christ came down and died for the Lost Sheep in order to bring them back into the fold.
23
ROMANS 6 : Dead to Sin, Alive to God
5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin.

GREATEST LOVE STORY NEVER TOLD

Just as Egyptians left with the Hebrews
in the Exodus by way of the Passover lamb,
Christ has opened the door
that whosoever can call upon Him will be saved.
56

He came as the word, to die in our place.

The only way the covenant could be annulled
was through death of either partner.
This was his goal, to die as the Son of God,
to restore that which was lost.

Revelation 19 : Marriage of the Lamb
7“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” 8It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Revelation 20 : Satan Bound the Thousand Years

4And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Prophecy of Northern Kingdom (Ephraim)

EzEKIAL 4 : THE SIEGE OF JERUSALEM PREDICTED
1Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it a city, even Jerusalem: 2and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it, and plant battering rams against it round about. 3And take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.4Moreover lie thou upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it; according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it, thou shalt bear their iniquity. 5For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be unto thee a number of days, even 390 days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
The Northern Kingdom should have begun being restored after 390 years, which is 331 BC

However, history shows that the Northern Kingdom never returned to their land

So what else does Scripture give us that can shed light on this.

LEVITICUS 26 : PUNISHMENTS FOR DISOBEDIENCE
14But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; 15and if ye shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhor mine ordinances, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant; 16I also will do this unto you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.17And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be smitten before your enemies: they that hate you shall rule over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. 18And if ye will not yet for these things hearken unto me, then I will chastise you 7 times more for your sins.
21And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

This was the beginning of the process of the hearts of the Northern Kingdom, beginning to come back to Him in large numbers.

This happened to the exact time of my divorce and the time period when I really started seeking Christ.

Thus concluding the Northern Kingdom’s judgement.
The work of Christ started the restoration but its in the 3rd day that He completes the restoration.
After 2 days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence.  (Hosea 6:2)
He is bringing people back to his ways and back to His law.

Deuteronomy 30 : Restoration Promised
1And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, 2and shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;3that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the peoples, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. 4If any of thine outcasts be in the uttermost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: 5and the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

Isaiah 23: The Fall of Tyre
1The burden of Tyre. Howl, you ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them. 2Be still, you inhabitants of the isle; you whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished. 3And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a mart of nations. 4Be you ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea has spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins. 5As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre. 6Pass you over to Tarshish; howl, you inhabitants of the isle. 7Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days? her own feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn. 8Who has taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth? 9The LORD of hosts has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth. 10Pass through your land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength. 11He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD has given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof. 12And he said, You shall no more rejoice, O you oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shall you have no rest. 13Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin. 14Howl, you ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste. 15And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot16Take an harp, go about the city, you harlot that have been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that you may be remembered.  17And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years (70), that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth. 18And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.

Ezekial 28: Prophecy against the King of Tyre

1The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, 2Son of man, say to the prince of Tyrus, Thus said the Lord GOD; Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the middle of the seas; yet you are a man, and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God: 3Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from you: 4With your wisdom and with your understanding you have gotten you riches, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasures: 5By your great wisdom and by your traffic have you increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches: 6Therefore thus said the Lord GOD; Because you have set your heart as the heart of God;  7Behold, therefore I will bring strangers on you, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.  8They shall bring you down to the pit, and you shall die the deaths of them that are slain in the middle of the seas.  9Will you yet say before him that slays you, I am God? but you shall be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slays you.  10You shall die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, said the Lord GOD.

A Lament over the King of Tyre

11Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,  12Son of man, take up a lamentation on the king of Tyrus, and say to him, Thus said the Lord GOD; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.  13You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.  14You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so: you were on the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the middle of the stones of fire.  15You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you.  16By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the middle of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the middle of the stones of fire.  17Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.  18You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the middle of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all them that behold you.  19All they that know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be any more.

A Prophecy against Sidon

20Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 21Son of man, set your face against Zidon, and prophesy against it, 22And say, Thus said the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against you, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the middle of you: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.  23For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the middle of her by the sword on her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.  24And there shall be no more a pricking brier to the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

The Restoration of Israel

25Thus said the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob. 26And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yes, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments on all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.

LUKE 24 : Jesus appears to disciples
36And as they thus spoke, Jesus himself stood in the middle of them, and said to them, Peace be to you. 37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38And he said to them, Why are you troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see me have. 40And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said to them, Have you here any meat? 42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43And he took it, and did eat before them.

The year of the Northern Kingdom’s Exile

In Esther the Jewish people were scattered around the Persian Empire.  It provided a model of how Jewish people could not merely survive but also thrive in a Gentile environment.  It showed how Jewish people could effectively serve in positions of high responsibility while maintaining their Jewish identity and their commitment to the God of Israel.  It demonstrated that the God of Israel was still able to redeem His people in their oppression, whether they were in Egypt, Israel, or Persia.  Jews in exile would be tempted to find lack of evidence of God’s overt presence to be evidence for His actual absence.  The book of Esther counters this notion, depicting God’s providence as ruling even the events of foreign lands during exile.

Esther, an orphan, would end up the queen of the greatest empire of the 5th century.

The time we are in now is the beginning of the 5th Age.

Who but God could bring about such a powerful reversal through the “weakness” of a young woman?

Genesis 49: Jacob Blesses his Sons
1And Jacob called to his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.  2Gather yourselves together, and hear, you sons of Jacob; and listen to Israel your father.  3Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:  4Unstable as water, you shall not excel; because you went up to your father’s bed; then defiled you it: he went up to my couch.  5Simeon and Levi are brothers; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. 6O my soul, come not thou into their council; Unto their assembly, my glory, be not thou united; For in their anger they slew a man, And in their self-will they hocked an ox7Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
8Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of your enemies; your father’s children shall bow down before you.  9Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, you are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?  10The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and to him shall the gathering of the people be.

22Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:  23The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:  24But his bow stayed in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)  25Even by the God of your father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brothers.
27Benjamin shall shred as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.  28All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spoke to them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

Two different Greek words are used to describe the execution stake that our Messiah was crucified on.  The word for “cross” in the Strong’s Concordance is “stauros” and it means “a stake, or pole.”  But another word is used for the word “tree” from Acts 5:30; Acts 10:39 & Acts 13:29.  That word for “tree” is “xylon” which means a “cross-beam.”  The word “stauros” also means “self-denial” and so this gives more meaning behind some of the statements that the Apostle (Paul) made:  Messiah did not add any heavy yoke to the Torah of Moses like the Pharisees did.  He makes it easy and enjoyable to keep his commandments!
What is prophetic about this picture?
The “stick” who was “afar off”,  was Ephraim (the prodigal son).
And so Messiah came for those Ten Northern Tribes who were “afar off” and he made the journey for them by carrying the “stick” of Ephraim to the “stick” of Judah  in order to make them “one stick” by the cross or Taw!  The stick of Ephraim was the stick that he carried!   The stick of Judah was already standing there!

The Burden or Yoke of Ephraim Made Easy & Light

The Ten Northern Tribes of Israel who were divorced by God became known as“Ephraim” because it was Joseph’s son Ephraim who became their tribal leader according to (Genesis) 48:18-22.  Ephraim was born in Egypt and he was accustomed to being in bondage, or slavery to paganism and idolatry.  That is why often times in scripture, we see that Ephraim is likened unto a bull or a heifer who is under a heavy yoke of bondage (Hosea 10:11)

GENESIS 37 : Joseph’s Dreams
1And Jacob dwelled in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan. 2These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being 17 years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives: and Joseph brought to his father their evil report. 3Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors. 4And when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably to him.  5And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brothers: and they hated him yet the more. 6And he said to them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: 7For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, see, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. 8And his brothers said to him, Shall you indeed reign over us? or shall you indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.  9And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brothers, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. 10And he told it to his father, and to his brothers: and his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow down ourselves to you to the earth? 11And his brothers envied him; but his father observed the saying.

12Thus his sons did for him as he had charged them; 13for his sons carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre, which Abraham had bought along with the field for a burial site from Ephron the Hittite. 14After he had buried his father, Joseph returned to Egypt, he and his brothers, and all who had gone up with him to bury his father.15When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph bears a grudge against us and pays us back in full for all the wrong which we did to him!” 16So they sent a message to Joseph, saying, “Your father charged before he died, saying, 17‘Thus you shall say to Joseph, “Please forgive, I beg you, the transgression of your brothers and their sin, for they did you wrong.”’ And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him. 18Then his brothers also came and fell down before him and said, “Behold, we are your servants.” 19But Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place? 20“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive. 21“So therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” So he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.Death of Joseph22Now Joseph stayed in Egypt, he and his father’s household, and Joseph lived 110 years. 23Joseph saw the third generation of Ephraim’s sons; also the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were born on Joseph’s knees. 24Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but God will surely take care of you and bring you up from this land to the land which He promised on oath to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob.” 25Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying, “God will surely take care of you, and you shall carry my bones up from here.” 26So Joseph died at the age of one hundred and ten years; and he was embalmed and placed in a coffin in Egypt.

Genesis 3:22
Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.

Leviticus 17 : Blood for Atonement

1And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them; This is the thing which the LORD has commanded, saying, 3What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that kills an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that kills it out of the camp, 4And brings it not to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering to the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed to that man; he has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people: 5To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them to the LORD, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to the priest, and offer them for peace offerings to the LORD. 6And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet smell to the LORD. 7And they shall no more offer their sacrifices to devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever to them throughout their generations.  8And you shall say to them, Whatever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offers a burnt offering or sacrifice, 9And brings it not to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it to the LORD; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.  10And whatever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eats any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

11For the life of the flesh is in the blood:

and I have given it to you on the altar to make an atonement for your souls:

for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

Hebrews 9 : Redemption through His Blood
11But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, 12nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption. 13For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling them that have been defiled, sanctify unto the cleanness of the flesh: 14how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16For where a testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him that made it. 17For a testament is of force where there hath been death: for it doth never avail while he that made it liveth. 18Wherefore even the first covenant hath not been dedicated without blood. 19For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses unto all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded to you-ward. 21Moreover the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry he sprinkled in like manner with the blood. 22And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
23It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24For Christ entered not into a holy place made with hands, like in pattern to the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us: 25nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place year by year with blood not his own; 26else must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the end of the ages hath he been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this cometh judgment; 28so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation.
Jesus blood serves at atonement for the sin of humanity.

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was first discovered and isolated by Friedrich Miescher in 1869, but it remained understudied for many decades because proteins, rather than DNA, were thought to hold the genetic blueprint to life.
This situation changed after 1944 as a result of some experiments by Oswald Avery, Colin MacLeod, and Maclyn McCarty demonstrating that purified DNA could change one strain of bacteria into another. This was the first time that DNA was shown capable of transforming the properties of cells.

44And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. 45For as much as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God has made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

Revelation 12 : The Woman and The Dragon

The Dragon Persecutes the Woman

13And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Hosea 2 : God’s Mercy to Israel
14Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably to her.  15And I will give her her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
Hosea and his wife Gomer is the perfect parallel between God and Israel,  and His plan of redeeming His wife which is written in the heavens in 2017.  Hosea charged Israel (Ephraim) with:  Violating basic covenant requirements of faithfulness and kindness, rejecting knowledge of God and His law.  Become self satisfied and proud and had forgotten God’s grace.  Engaging in idolatry.  Trusting in human devices (kings, princes, and foreign covenants) rather than God.  Sound Familiar?  Both were loving husbands of unfaithful wives.  Like a marriage partner, God is deeply involved in our lives and is pained when we go our own way.  He demands love and loyalty from His own.  We have failed to demonstrate this yet He stands ready to forgive and restore those who turn to Him in repentance.  In buying Gomer’s freedom, Hosea pointed ahead to God’s love perfectly expressed in Christ, who bought the freedom of His bride, the church, with His own life.

ISAIAH 65 : Judgement’s and promises

9And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and my elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.  10And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the Valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

Because of this theft, Israel was defeated at the city of Ai.  In Isaiah’s vision of a restored remnant, Achor was a peaceful and prosperous place.

Joshua 6 : The sin of achan

20And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done: 21When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the middle of my tent, and the silver under it.  22So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. 23And they took them out of the middle of the tent, and brought them to Joshua, and to all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD. 24And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them to the valley of Achor. 25And Joshua said, Why have you troubled us? the LORD shall trouble you this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. 26And they raised over him a great heap of stones to this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Why the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, to this day.

ISAIAH 65 : New Heavens and Earth

17For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.18But be you glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20There shall be no more there an infant of days, nor an old man that has not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.21And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, said the LORD.

Just as God will give His people a “new name” after His judgement and restoration, so He will create new heavens and a new earth.   The former things are acts of sin by the people that resulted in God’s judgement.  The future blessing of Jerusalem includes long life for its inhabitants.  Infant mortality rates will disappear and old people will survive even longer.  If someone dies at a age 100, it will be considered tragic because he was just a child compared to others.  It will be a restoration of Eden-like conditions.  His plan was for the fullness of the nations to come in, His sheep that have been scattered abroad, before making things new again.
The goal of the enemy is to create a pre-flood technological utopia that caused God to bring the initial flood.  Noah was the only one who hadn’t merged with beast and thus was the only redeemable one left.

Jeremiah 30 : Restoration of Israel and Judah
1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2Thus speaks the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write you all the words that I have spoken to you in a book. 3For, see, the days come, said the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, said the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.Time of Jacob’s Trouble4And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah. 5For thus said the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.  6Ask you now, and see whether a man does travail with child? why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?  7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.  8For it shall come to pass in that day, said the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: 9But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.  10Therefore fear you not, O my servant Jacob, said the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, see, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.  11For I am with you, said the LORD, to save you: though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end of you: but I will correct you in measure, and will not leave you altogether unpunished.12For thus said the LORD, Your bruise is incurable, and your wound is grievous.  13There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines.  14All your lovers have forgotten you; they seek you not; for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of your iniquity; because your sins were increased.  15Why cry you for your affliction? your sorrow is incurable for the multitude of your iniquity: because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.  16Therefore all they that devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil you shall be a spoil, and all that prey on you will I give for a prey.  17For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, said the LORD; because they called you an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeks after.Restoration of Jacob18Thus said the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.  19And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.  20Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.  21And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the middle of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach to me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach to me? said the LORD.  22And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.  23Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goes forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain on the head of the wicked.  24The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he has done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall consider it.

Jeremiah 31: Mourning Turned to Joy

(Matthew 2:16-18)

1At the same time, said the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.2Thus said the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.3The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.  4Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: you shall again be adorned with your tabrets, and shall go forth in the dances of them that make merry.5You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.  6For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise you, and let us go up to Zion to the LORD our God.

The Regathering of Israel

7For thus said the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish you, praise you, and say, O LORD, save your people, the remnant of Israel.  8Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travails with child together: a great company shall return thither.9They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

The firstborn does not mean first in chronology.  Ephraim was Joseph’s second son, but first in rank and priority, just as Israel was called God’s “firstborn”.  Jacob (Israel) was God’s firstborn, even though he was Isaac’s second son.  David, eighth son of Jesse, is called a “firstborn” in Psalm 89, and Jesus is called the firstborn of every creature, signifying first in rank and importance, not chronology.

10Hear the word of the LORD, O you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.  11For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.  12Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.  13Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.  14And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, said the LORD.  15Thus said the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.16Thus said the LORD; Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears: for your work shall be rewarded, said the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.  17And there is hope in your end, said the LORD, that your children shall come again to their own border.  18I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn you me, and I shall be turned; for you are the LORD my God.19Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.  20Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spoke against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy on him, said the LORD.  21Set you up markers, make you high heaps: set your heart toward the highway, even the way which you went: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.22How long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? for the LORD has created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

v 16 : the reward for Rachel’s work is that here children will come back from exile from all over the world, jus t as Jacob and Rachel returned from serving Laban with all their children as their “reward”.
v 18 – 20 : Ephraim, representing the 10 northern tribes, finally saw how he had acted as an untrained calf (Hosea 10:11), a rebel against God.  But now he repented and felt ashamed.  Ephraim will be forgiven and like the prodigal, will return home.  God’s love will triumph over Israel’s rebellion.

The Satiation of the Weary Soul

23Thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless you, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.  24And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, farmers, and they that go forth with flocks. 25For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul. 26On this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet to me.  27Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast. 28And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, said the LORD.  29In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.  30But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eats the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

A New Covenant

31Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was an husband to them, said the LORD:33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, said the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, said the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The problem with the old covenant was not with its maker or its contents, but with God’s people who broke their marriage vows to Him.  God said this covenant would not be like the covenant at the exodus or on Sinai, but it would be made “after those days” when the people of Israel are restored to their land.
The law is a point of continuity between the old and new covenants, only this time God would write the law internally rather than eternally on tablets.

The City Shall Be Built

35Thus said the LORD, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:  36If those ordinances depart from before me, said the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.  37Thus said the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, said the LORD.  38Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel to the gate of the corner.39And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it on the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath. 40And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook of Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

At the consummation of history, Jerusalem will be rebuilt.  The tower of Hananeel was in the northeast corner of Jerusalem, and the gate of the corner was probably at the northwest corner of the city wall.  The two locations represent the beginning and end of a circuit of the city.

Jeremiah 32 : Jeremiah buys Hanameel’s field

1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar. 2For then the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah’s house. 3For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why do you prophesy, and say, Thus said the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it; 4And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes; 5And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, said the LORD: though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not prosper.

6And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came to me, saying, 7Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come to you saying, Buy you my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is your to buy it. 8So Hanameel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said to me, Buy my field, I pray you, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

9And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen (17) shekels of silver.10And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances. 11So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open: 12And I gave the evidence of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison. 13And I charged Baruch before them, saying,14Thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days. 15For thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

Jeremiah was given symbolic evidence for the hope he had just preached a out Israel’s future.  His cousin, Hanameel, would offer him the right of redemption for family property in his hometown of Anathoth.  The legal precedent for this action is found in Leviticus 25.  In the event of poverty or debt, the next of kin had the right to purchase the property, keeping it in the family.  This same type of transaction is demonstrated in the story of Ruth.  Buying the field demonstrated Jeremiah’s faith that God would someday restore and bring Israel back to the land.

Matthew 27 : Judas hangs himself

(Zechariah 11:10-17;

3Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought back the thirty (30) pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou to it . 5And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself. 6And the chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood. 7And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. 8Wherefore that field was called, the field of blood, unto this day. 9Then was fulfilled that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty (30) pieces of silver, the price of him that was priced, whom certain of the children of Israel did price; 10and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.

Jeremiah 32 (continued)

Jeremiah’s Prayer

16Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD, saying, 17Ah Lord GOD! behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you: 18You show loving kindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name, 19Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for your eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: 20Which have set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and have made you a name, as at this day; 21And have brought forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror; 22And have given them this land, which you did swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey; 23And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come on them: 24Behold the mounts, they are come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what you have spoken is come to pass; and, behold, you see it. 25And you have said to me, O Lord GOD, Buy you the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Jerusalem’s Fall Confirmed

26Then came the word of the LORD to Jeremiah, saying, 27Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?28Therefore thus said the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: 29And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger. 30For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, said the LORD. 31For this city has been to me as a provocation of my anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before my face, 32Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 33And they have turned to me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction. 34But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it. 35And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

A Promise of Restoration

36And now therefore thus said the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof you say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;37Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: 38And they shall be my people, and I will be their God: 39And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: 40And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. 41Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. 42For thus said the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so will I bring on them all the good that I have promised them. 43And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof you say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. 44Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, said the LORD.

Jeremiah 33 : Restoration Promised Again
7And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first. 8And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me. 9And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honor before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure to it.  10Thus said the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which you say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast, 11The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endures for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, said the LORD.

The Covenant with David
14Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. 15In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. 16In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name with which she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness. 17For thus said the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;18Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
Meaning there will be no cessation of David’s dynasty or of the office of the priesthood.  Jesus fulfilled the offices of King and Priest.  Christ’s priesthood does not follow Levi’s line, but the line of Melchizedek, the priest of Salem.
19And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, 20Thus said the LORD; If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; 21Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. 22As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister to me.
23Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, 24Consider you not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD has chosen, he has even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them. 25Thus said the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;26Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
Even after the nation of Israel ceases to exist, the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are guaranteed by God.  Count on the natural order collapsing and going out of existence before God’s promises to David, Levi, and the nation evaporate.

Zechariah 9 : The Lord will Save His People
14And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.  15The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.  16And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign on his land.17For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

Zechariah 10 : A Flock With No Shephard

1Ask you of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.  2For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.  3My anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts has visited his flock the house of Judah, and has made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

Delivered by God’s Strength

4Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.  5And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.  6And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy on them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.  7And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yes, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.  8I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.  9And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.  10I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.  11And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall depart away.  12And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, said the LORD.

Zechariah 11:The Doomed Flock

1Open your doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour your cedars.  2Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O you oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.  3There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.  4Thus said the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter; 5Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not. 6For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, said the LORD: but, see, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbor’s hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.  7And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took to me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock. 8Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.9Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dies, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.

Thirty Pieces of Silver

10And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. 11And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited on me knew that it was the word of the LORD. 12And I said to them, If you think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 13And the LORD said to me, Cast it to the potter: a goodly price that I was priced at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.14Then I cut asunder my other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.  15And the LORD said to me, Take to you yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd. 16For, see, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that stands still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.  17Woe to the idol shepherd that leaves the flock! the sword shall be on his arm, and on his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.

Zechariah 13 : A Fountain For Cleansing

1In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. 2And it shall come to pass in that day, said the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
The Refining of God’s Remnant
7Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, said the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn my hand on the little ones.  8And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, said the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.  9And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Zechariah 14 : The Day of the Lord

1Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and your spoil shall be divided in the middle of you. 2For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4And his feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall split in the middle thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.5And you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal: yes, you shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with you.

Living Waters

6And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.  8And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.  9And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.  10All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel to the king’s winepresses.11And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.  12And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand on their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.13And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor. 14And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. 15And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

All Nations will Worship the King

16And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 17And it shall be, that whoever will not come up of all the families of the earth to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even on them shall be no rain. 18And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, with which the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 19This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

20In that day shall there be on the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness to the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
