“A reed shaken in the wind” is a metaphor for lack of conviction and easily swayed by public opinion.

THE PARABLE OF THE WEEDS EXPLAINED
36Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came to him, saying, Declare to us the parable of the tares of the field. 37He answered and said to them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man;
38The field is the world;
THE GOOD SEED are the CHILDREN OF THE KINGDOM;
but THE TARES are the CHILDREN OF THE WICKED ONE;
39The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
the harvest is the end of the world;
and the reapers are the angels. 40As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be at the end of this world 41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
A tare is a plant that commonly grows in fields of grain. And although it looks similar to an edible grain, it isn’t suitable for food. In fact, many feel the specific tare, or weed, referred to in this parable is the darnel, a poisonous weed that is very similar in appearance to wheat.
They look almost identical up until near the time of the harvest.
Then you can see the tares standing tall (prideful) and the wheat boughed over (humbled)
A threshingfloor was originally “…’to tramp or stamp heavily with the feet’…” and was later applied to the act of separating out grain by the feet of people or oxen and still later with the use of a flail.
Sheaves of Grain would be opened up and the stalks spread across the threshing floor.
Pairs of donkeys or oxen (or sometimes cattle, or horses) would then be walked round and round, often dragging a heavy threshing board behind them, to tear the ears of grain from the stalks, and loosen the grain itself from the husks.
Husk, is the outer protective coating on the hull, on the fruit, on the seed, that becomes chaff. IE…Maize’s Ear of Corn leafy outer casing shell covering grow on the yellow fruit’s shell hull.
The chaff would be blown away by the wind; the short torn straw would fall some distance away; while the heavier grain would fall at the winnower’s feet. The grain could then be further cleansed by sieving.

REVELATION 12 : THE WOMAN AND THE DRAGON

Why did God bring the Israelite’s through the Wilderness after the Exodus?
1All the commandments which I command you this day shall you observe to do, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers. 2And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or no. 3And he humbled you, and suffered you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you knew not, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD does man live. 4Your raiment waxed not old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years. 5You shall also consider in your heart, that, as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you.6Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. 7For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; 8A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; 9A land wherein you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig brass. 10When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which he has given you.

So what does God require from us? These are Moses’s Words to Israel before they went into the Promised Land.
12“Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear the LORD your God,to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,13and to keep the LORD’S commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?
21He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22Judas said to him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world? 23Jesus answered and said to him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our stayed with him.24He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

THE DRAGON PERSECUTES THE WOMAN
13And when the dragon saw that he was cast to the eart
h, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

The flood from the serpent will not be real water like the flood that destroyed the earth.
It’s the flood and rapid pace of data, information, technology, and change.

We’ve collected as much data in the past 2 years as in the entirety of Human History. The rate at which things are accelerating is not humanly possible to keep up with. The change we seeing from one year to the next is the type of change previous generations would see in their entire lifetime. It is relentless, overwhelming, and is leaving people with unimaginable levels of anxiety, stress, and depression.

e Bible is “the Word” of God, so I think for many of us, our eyes cross when we try to start to see how it correlates with science and technology. But since everything we are beginning to interact with, is through these computers and machines, it’s vital if you are a christian to understand its correlation .
You might think technology has nothing to do with the bible, when in actuality the whole bible is focused around it. The main thing I remember about my grandparents was the peace they had. They didn’t have cell phones, flat screen tv’s, internet, or any of the things we are attached to today. I was fortunate enough to have lived briefly in the time before the technology explosion happened. Nobody used the internet when I was in high school, thank goodness, I could not imagine having to go through it with facebook, instagram, and youtube. Cell phones and the web didn’t really pick up until I was in college. I know my grandparents and people of their generation would probably be horrified by things going on now.

Jannes and Jambres were the magicians that were matching Moses and Aaron when God told Moses to tell Pharoah “Let my people go so they can serve me”
Exodus 7 : Aaron’s Rod Becomes a Serpent
8Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, 9“When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Work a miracle,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.’” 10So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and thus they did just as the LORD had commanded; and Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent. 11Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers, and they also, the magicians of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts.12For each one threw down his staff and they turned into serpents. It’s hard to serve God like this.
Luke 7 :
31And the Lord said, how then shall I liken the men of this generation and to what are they like? 32They are like to children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, we have piped to you, and you have not danced; we have mourned to you, and you have not wept.
