Whose glory am i seeking?  Whose Kingdom am i serving?

James Bond [pointing his gun at a mouse]  Who sent you? Who are you working for(ambassodor)?

Key of David is having a God Ruling heart where I am motivated by God’s honor, not by my wants, needs, and feelings (crucified passions)

Triumph/Conquer/Victory over Death…Enemies under feet

A war is won by order, discipline, and chain of command.   we are to do what our commanding officer instructs.  ducks in a row

Shepherd/leader/sheep/followers

Submitting to and obeying authority…being subordinate/subjection

James 4 : Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.

Law over man…Christ over all things/master/ruler/king/lord

Romans 5: 21  Sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord

Romans 6: 12.  Let not sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof.  13 Neither yield y your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  14  For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. 15  shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? God forbid.

The believer, as a member of the new kingdom, must not offer any help to the old king (Satan, sin, death) and his kingdom.  We are still slaves, but now we have a  new Master.  Not that Paul continued the personification of sin as a king(complete with a kingdom and subjects) who seeks to extend his rule.  There is a spiritual war between these two kingdoms.  We must give ourselves as instruments to be used in this warfare o the side of the rightful king.  Aiding and abetting the enemy is treason.

Sin gained its power by using the law but the Christian is under the rule of grace.  Whoever you serve and obey you come under his power.  Sin pays a wage to his subjects and it is death.  Obedience to God brings righteousness and the gift of eternal life.

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the higher powers.  for there is no power but of God: the powers that are ordained of God.  Whoever resists this power resists the ordinance of God

Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of God rule in your hearts to the which also ye are called in one body: and by ye thankful. 16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;

Wives submit yourselves to your own husbands as it is fit in the Lord.  Children obey your parents.  Servants obey in all things your masters.

Master/slave/yoke is easy/burden is light/bands/cords

For those who rebel against God, His dominion is seen as slavery.  Ironically these same terms bands and cords are used to describe what God did for His people in freeing them from the oppression of the wicked.

Prisoners of the Lord (Ephesians 4:1) therefore walk worthy of the vocation you were called.

Women subject to man (the woman/israel/bride is made for the glory of man/christ)

Children obedient/submissive to parents

1 Corinthians 11 Roles in Worship

3But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 15:24-28  The Order of Resurrection

20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own turn: Christ the firstfruits; then at His coming, those who belong to Him. 24Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power. 25For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For “God has put everything under His feet.”b Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him28And when all things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all.

Hebrews 1 8But to the Son he said, Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.  13But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool?

Hebrews 13:17  Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for our souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you

Psalm 8 made him lower than the angels and crowned him with glory and honour.  you made him to have dominion over the work of your hands and put all things under his feet

Colossians 1:15-21  Firstborn of the dead, head of the body, the beginning, Chief
