Crushed into Powder

EXODUS 32 : THE GOLDEN CALF (Deuteronomy 9:7-29)

1And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said to him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. 2And Aaron said to them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them to me. 3And all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. 4And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a engraving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt. 5And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD. 6And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

MOSES INFORMED OF ISRAEL’S SIN

7And the LORD said to Moses, Go, get you down; for your people, which you brought out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: 8They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be your gods, O Israel, which have brought you up out of the land of Egypt. 9And the LORD said to Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiff necked people: 10Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of you a great nation.

11And Moses sought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why does your wrath wax hot against your people, which you have brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? 12Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from your fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against your people. 13Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give to your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. 14And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do to his people.

MOSES DESCENDS WITH THE TABLETS

15And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written. 16And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven on the tables. 17And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp. 18And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome:  but the noise of them that sing do I hear.

MOSES BREAKS THE TABLETS

19And it came to pass, as soon as he came near to the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses’ anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mount.

20And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder,

and strewed it on the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

21And Moses said to Aaron, What did this people to you, that you have brought so great a sin on them? 22And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: you know the people, that they are set on mischief. 23For they said to me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.24And I said to them, Whoever has any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf. 25And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked to their shame among their enemies:)

GENESIS 3: THE SERPENT’S DECEPTION

10And he said, I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded you that you should not eat? 15And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise [h7779] your head, and you shall bruise his heel.

[h7779] שׁוּף shûwph, shoof;   bruise = “to overwhelm:—break, bruise, cover, crush. “ break in pieces, crushed (like Powder)

26Then Moses stood in the GATE OF THE CAMP, and said, WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE?

let him come to me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him. 27And he said to them, Thus said the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor. 28And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. 29For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, even every man on his son, and on his brother; that he may bestow on you a blessing this day.

MOSES INTERCEDES FOR ISRAEL

30And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said to the people, You have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up to the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin. 31And Moses returned to the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. 32Yet now, if you will forgive their sin—; and if not, blot me, I pray you, out of your book which you have written. 33And the LORD said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.34Therefore now go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you: behold, my Angel shall go before you: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin on them. 35And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

When God established His covenant with Israel at Mt. Sinai, He considered Israel as His “Bride” .

God had divorced the Northern Kingdom  because of their adulteries which can be seen in 2 Kings 17

Jeremiah 3 : Israel’s and Judah’s Unfaithfulness
 8And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce;

Since Israel was considered a Wife to God,  Jesus had to take the Curse prescribed in the Law for an Adulterous Woman.

Matthew 5 : Jesus Fulfills the Law

17Think not that I am come  to destroy the law, or the prophets:  I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill18For truly I say to you,

Till heaven and earth pass, one stroke or one pronunciation mark shall in no wise pass from the law,  till all be fulfilled.

The Law is the “Pentateuch” which means “5 Books”.

The Law of Jealousies

has the most cases  in all of Moses Law

and is the Key to Understanding

what Jesus did for us on the Cross as well as Revelation.

EXODUS 34 : THE TABLETS ARE REPLACED

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

NUmbers 5 : The Law of Jealousy

20But if you have gone aside to another instead of your husband, and if you be defiled, and some man have lain with you beside your husband: 21Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say to the woman, The LORD make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the LORD does make your thigh to rot, and your belly to swell; 22And this water that causes the curse shall go into your bowels, to make your belly to swell, and your thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

23And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water: 24And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causes the curse: and the water that causes the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter. 25Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it on the altar: 26And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water. 27And when he has made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. 28And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

29This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goes aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled; 30Or when the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute on her all this law. 31Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

In the Garden of Gethsemene, Jesus drank this bitter water that causes the curse.

Just as Moses made the Israelite’s drink the powder ground from the Golden Calf.

LUKE 22 : JESUS PRAYS ON THE MOUNT OF OLIVES

42Saying, Father, if you be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done.

43And there appeared an angel to him from heaven, strengthening him.

44And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Another requirement of God’s Law

that Jesus had to fulfill

The Law of Divorce because God had Divorced the Northern Kingdom of Israel

Deuteronomy 24 : Law of Divorce (Matthew 5:31-32Luke 16:18-18)

1When a man has taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favor in his eyes, because he has found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. 2And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife. 3And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorce, and gives it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;

4Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.

5When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he has taken.

ROMANS 7 : RELEASED THROUGH DEATH
1Know you not, brothers, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives?
2For the woman which has an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he lives;  but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3So then if, while her husband lives, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Paul goes onto say that we die in Christ, when we come into the faith, releasing both us and God from the requirement of the law as it relates to divorce and remarriage.

So Christ came down and died for the Lost Sheep in order to bring them back into the fold.

ROMANS 6 : DEAD TO SIN, ALIVE TO GOD

1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin.7For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Israel was also considered by God His “Firstborn” because

He disinherited the Nations at Babel and established His new seed with Abraham which had multiplied in Egypt.

Exodus 4 : Moses Leaves for Egypt

22And you shall say to Pharaoh, Thus said the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

Israel was no longer son
because of disobedience.

Jesus, the perfect son, through obedience, came and died as the Son of God, to annul the old covenant & establish the new.

He took the Wrath of God in our place, and took the Judgement we deserved

He came as the Son of God, Israel,  to save His Lost Sheep,of the Northern Kingdom that had been scatteredbecause of Adultery.

Please read the Lost Sheep for a deeper look into this :

The cup Jesus had to drink from in the Garden of Gethsemene is the cup the Whore of Babylon will drink from.

The Cup of Bitter Cursing prescribed in the Law of Adultery.

Revelation 17 : The Woman on the Beast

1And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying to me, Come here;

I will show to you the judgment of the great whore that sits on many waters:

2With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit on a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls,

having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5And on her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Revelation 14 : The Three Angels and Babylon’s Fall

8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation;

and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. 12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Matthew 21 : The Parable of the Wicked Tenants (Mark 12:1-12; Luke 20:9-18)

33Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and dig a wine press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to farmers, and went into a far country: 34And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, that they might receive the fruits of it. 35And the farmers took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. 36Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did to them likewise. 37But last of all he sent to them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. 38But when the farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. 39And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. 40When the lord therefore of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers? 41They say to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard to other farmers, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

42Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the scriptures,  The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner:  this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?

43Therefore say I to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

44And whoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken:  but on whomsoever it shall fall,  it will grind him to powder.

DEUTERONOMY 7 : CASTING OUT THE NATIONS

6 For thou [art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that [are] upon the face of the earth. 7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye [were] the fewest of all people:

MATTHEW 13 : THE PARABLE OF THE MUSTARD SEED(Mark 4:30-34; Luke 13:18-19)

31Another parable put he forth to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 32Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

The 1st time around

Jesus did not came to judge the world

but to “save his lost sheep”,

through his death and resurrection on the cross.

The 2nd time around

he comes to Judge

& to separate the goats from the sheep

and He will gather his sheep to himself (His Bride).

 MATTHEW 25

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth  his sheep from the goats:

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

JOHN 14 : JESUS COMFORTS THE DISCIPLES

1Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.

3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also4And where I go you know, and the way you know.

Luke 12 :  Do Not Worry (Matthew 6:25-34

28If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith? 29And seek not you what you shall eat, or what you shall drink, neither be you of doubtful mind.  30For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knows that you have need of these things.

31But rather seek you the kingdom of God;  and all these things shall be added to you.

32Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

33Sell that you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts.  34For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
